Is Usman Umar of 90 Day Fiancé anything like Michael Ilesanmi of Michael & Angela? Some fans want to think so but others are calling time out on the comparison.
What has viewers seeing parallels between the two guys? It’s their patient penchant for putting up with all kinds of abuse from their partners.
90 Day Fiancé Spoilers – Is Usman Umar Like Michael Ilesanmi Or Totally Different?
Fans are aware that the latest season of the reality show is by far one of the more drama-filled to date. And taking center stage of the three-ring circus is Usman Umar, aka “Sojaboy.”
Is he pulling a massive con on Lisa “Baby Gal Lisa” Hamme? Tons of fans think that his only interest in her is what she can do for him, namely be the key to his getting a green card.
What does Baby Gal Lisa think? She doesn’t see it and that drives viewers up a wall.
Writing in CCN.com, Bernadette Giacomazzo asserts that there is a major reason why Usman and Michael are definitely cut from a different cloth.
One Writer Claims That Usman Umar And Michael Ilesanmi Are Nothing Alike
What makes these two men substantially different even though they’re in the situation of needing the same thing, namely a green card? According to Giacomazzo, Usman’s willingness to fight for his dignity is his saving grace.
Whereas Michael endured much abuse from his partner, Usman is taking a stand against Lisa’s shenanigans.
90 Day Fiancé Spoilers – Relationship Abuse Is Not Funny
What is significant here according to Giacomazzo is that both men are in the line of fire, at the receiving end of relationship abuse. In their season of “90 Day Fiance,” Angela berated Michael and once threw a cake in his face.
Giacomazzo asks a fair question: Would those same people be laughing if Michael berated Angela and threw a cake in her face?
Conversely, Usman is setting a much better example by standing up for himself.
Usman Umar Is Now Putting Lisa In Her Place
Viewers have seen Usman push back when Lisa goes after him. It doesn’t matter that she’s been cheated on before. That’s awful for her and goes a long way toward explaining why she has trust issues with Usman.
In the end, Lisa needs to straighten out her own life, not blame Usman. Giacomazzo notes that by standing up for himself Usman, “is taking control of his narrative. Good for him for doing so,” and she’s absolutely right.
