When fans first heard Usman and Lisa’s story, they were sure that the young man was just using the American to get a green card. He made it clear that his career aspirations included becoming a big music star in the United States.

As the weeks passed, viewers started to realize that the Nigerian entertainer had his hands full with Lisa. Her older age wasn’t really a major concern. It was her excessive control over every aspect of Usman’s life, including his career. It was her extreme jealousy, the inability to have a civilized conversation, and her abusive behavior. Lisa Hamme Faced Obstacles and Roadblocks

The TLC reality TV personality faced her own obstacles in the relationship. She had issues getting Usman’s mom to approve the marriage. She had intense conflicts with Usman’s friends and music contacts.

When they went to try and plan a wedding ceremony in Nigeria, Lisa couldn’t prove she was divorced. It seemed that the couple was facing one roadblock after another.

On Lisa’s Instagram account, it shows she has changed her name to Fatima Lisa Umar. One post showed a picture of what appears to be a marriage license or certificate from Nigeria. Another picture was of the couple showing off their rings. The image was captioned “a new beginning.”

There are a few other posts that indicate the two really did follow through with the marriage. Even a picture was uploaded of Lisa posing happily with Usman’s mom. That is really interesting as on our television screens, she did not approve of Lisa. It seems that the two have come to some sort of understanding.

Nobody’s Talking About This Impressive Scene

90 Day Fiance spoilers reveal that a sneak peek clip showed Lisa discussing Usman telling other women the “L” word. While he explained that there are different forms of love, Lisa said she was heartbroken. Nobody seems to be talking about that scene, but it is so important for the couple. The sneak peek clip showed Lisa talking in a normal tone of voice, not interrupting, and calmly expressing herself.

Now, it’s not known if the full conversation was that way. However, it sure was impressive to see such a huge change in Lisa. Perhaps the two really are celebrating a new beginning. Let’s just hope these positive changes stick.
