TLC ’90 Day Fiancé – The Other Way’ Spoilers: Is Jenny Slatten Making A Big Mistake?

TLC '90 Day Fiancé - The Other Way' Spoilers: Is Jenny Slatten Making A Big Mistake? In the first show of season two of TLC’s “90 Day Fiancé – The Other Way” Jenny Slatten seems to be sure that she wants to spend the rest of her life in New Dehli, India with her boyfriend Sumit, who revealed some secrets as to why he hadn’t been completely honest with her, but claims that he has learned his lesson about lying. But has he – or is Jenny making a big mistake?

Sumit Began Their Online Relationship By Catfishing Jenny

Viewers will recall in season one, that Sumit began their online relationship by catfishing Jenny, but she fell in love with him anyway, and he seems to have fallen in love with her as well. He eventually told her the truth – or at least part of it. He didn’t tell her he was in an arranged marriage to another woman, and she didn’t find that out until she went to India the first time, where they actually move in together, only for Jenny to be blindsided and totally embarrassed by his family – and his WIFE – when they all came to their apartment and confronted her and took Sumit back with them!

In season two’s opener, Jenny is trying to be more cautious – although in spite of things looking iffy she still wants to be with Sumit the rest of her life in spite of the possibility of never seeing her daughters again. She reminded Sumit of his lies and his going home to his family every night when she was there before, and keeping up a pretense to them and not standing up for her and not standing up to them!

Viewers saw Jenny as she skyped with Sumit and asked him to bring his family into the room so that she could talk to them and ask them if he has told them that they are together and that she is coming back and that they are getting married. He hesitated and then left and came back into the conversation and told her they wouldn’t come. In addition, he didn’t tell her everything about the status of his divorce proceedings except that there was trouble because his wife was accusing him of abuse! With all that bad history, her daughters are worried!

Jenny Slatten Goes To Ask Financial Advice – Sumit Talks To His Friends

Jenny went to see her financial advisor about getting her 401K – or what was left of it after the first time she went to India – and one of her daughters accompanied her. She also asked his advice about retiring early and getting her Social Security at age 62 – she is now 61. The financial advisor was very concerned if Jenny could make it on only $625.00 a month, which is what the Social Security Administration advised her she would draw. He asked if Sumit was working – currently, he does not appear to be, and her daughter took concern that Jenny would be supporting Sumit off of only her Social Security.

Of course, that $625.00 may go a lot farther in India than it does in the United States, but will she even be able to continue drawing it in India because surely she will have to change her citizenship when she moves unless there is some way she can be a dual citizen – that is another question that Jenny, or her daughters, should be asking! Meanwhile, in India, Sumit talks to a couple of his friends about Jenny’s return; he has missed her for the last five months, and it has been hard on him and he wants to marry her right away, but there are some major complications that could stand in the way of their marriage plans!

His friends want to know when she’s coming, and he says soon. He tells them that he intends to stand up to his parents, and marry Jenny in spite of their opinions. One of his friends says it’s a mistake and he needs to put his family first, and dump Jenny. They ask about his divorce proceedings and he tells them he filed, but it is costing him twenty thousand dollars, and his parents are paying half of it because it was a bad marriage in spite of everything.

His friends are upset about the age difference between Sumit and Jenny, calls her “over-aged” and are upset that they don’t plan on children and that she’s too old to have children. Sumit doesn’t care and insists on marrying her in spite of the Indian culture’s non-acceptance.

So it does seem that Sumit does love Jenny, and she loves him – but she’s already lost everything financially and could lose her relationship with her daughters if she moves to India again, and what will happen if the marriage doesn’t work out and she can’t draw her Social Security over there or it’s not enough to live on? Is Jenny making a huge mistake? Stay tuned to the show, and be sure to check here for continuing updates on “90 Day Fiancé – The Other Way”!

How can Jenny be drawing social security as well as her TLC pay, which is probably a good amount, and now a job since earnings are limited when on SSA until you reach a certain age.
