Todd & Julie Chrisley Prison Release In New Docuseries?

President Donald Trump pardoned Todd and Julie Chrisley, and few news outlets were there to film their release from prison. However, fans of the former Chrisley Knows Best show on the USA Network might see footage of that in Savannah Chrisley’s upcoming Lifetime documentary.

Footage Of The Release

On social media, some people wonder why few mainstream media outlets were at Pensacola or in Kentucky to film Todd and Julie Chrisley’s release. News Nation and Fox 5 were in Florida, and they showed Savannah talking about the wait for her dad to walk out the gates. She spoke about how she will continue the fight for justice for others.

Additionally, she told reporters that Donald Trump went through the case with a fine-tooth comb and discovered some anomalies, including “Brady violations.” If you hoped to see Todd and Julie Chrisley walk out of their prisons, then for now, you probably feel disappointed. However, you might see that happen when Lifetime brings out the new docuseries, per TMZ.

The Whole Release On TV?

According to the outlet, “fans will be able to see the whole release from jail in the family’s upcoming Lifetime show — so, tune in to see the family reunion in its entirety.” That might account for why there’s not a lot out there showing the presumably emotional reunions. Apparently, Todd was taken out of a back gate.

Celebrating The Soaps reported on May 22 that the new documentary by Lifetime would include Savannah, Chase, Grayson, Chloe, and “Nanny Faye” Chrisley. It was also suspected that voice messages, recorded calls, and letters from Todd and Julie would be in it.

The Reactions To Pardon Differ

The pardon wasn’t just granted based on no evidence. Apparently, a lot of highly qualified people in the Trump Administration took a close look at the application. Like everything Stateside these days, there are those who celebrate and those who slam the decision. Many people cheer, and those against the new president are expressing their disappointment.

As so many conservatives believe the case was skewed against the former reality TV stars, no doubt the docuseries will garner a lot of views when it releases. At this time, it’s not clear when the show premieres. However, the unexpected pardon will likely add to the interest factor.

Will The Old Show Come Back?

When Fox 5 shared their video of Savannah Chrisley outside Pensacola in Florida, plenty of people responded in the comments. There, it certainly looks as if the docuseries will be viewed by many folks.

One of them wrote, “I’m not a Trump person but I believe what is going on now with the Chrisleys is the right step. Savannah is one smart girl (and pretty) and she was raised in a loving environment and it shows. Good luck Todd and and Julie. Hope sometime in the near future Chrisley Knows Best will be back. Loved the show.”

That might not happen. Networks are choosy when it comes to airing reality TV. Also, fans should factor in the fact that Savannah has a new justice career direction now. In fact, she seems unhappy with her role on the old show, as she told Lara Trump that because of the scripted comedy, people think of her as a “ditzy blonde.”
