Tracker Spoilers: 11.6 Million Viewers On Average Its First Season
Tracker emerged as the top scripted series during the 2023/2024 television season, drawing an impressive average of 11.6 million viewers per episode.
According to a new report from Deadline, the highly anticipated second season debuted successfully for CBS on Sunday night, attracting 8.3 million viewers who tuned in live or watched the same day.
This impressive figure makes Tracker the most-watched season premiere this year, surpassing the pilot episode of Matlock from the same network.
As the days progress, this number is likely to increase, especially since the first season gained an additional 3.4 million viewers within a week.
The initial seven episodes of season one averaged a remarkable 19 million viewers after 35 days, outpacing many popular shows across broadcast, cable, and streaming platforms.
Tracker Spoilers: No Super Bowl Boost Like The Pilot, But Still Doing Very Well
The premiere of Season 2 did not experience the same surge as the pilot, which enjoyed a substantial boost from the Super Bowl. Nevertheless, attracting 8.3 million viewers is an impressive start, hinting at promising developments for the series.
As CBS’ premiere week unfolds, there exists a modest possibility that certain shows, such as Fire Country, could potentially surpass Tracker, though this remains uncertain.
In this season opener, Colter grapples with yet another missing persons investigation while delving into the intricacies of his family’s history. Additionally, the episode introduced a minor cast change, with Robin Weigert departing after just one season.
Tracker Spoilers: What’s Next For The Show?
The series continues to follow Colter’s adventures as a rewardist, with the first season featuring numerous guest star appearances, and Season 2 is set to keep that momentum going.
In Episode 2, titled “Ontological Shock,” Jensen Ackles reprises his role as Colter’s brother, Russell, who steps in to assist when Colter goes missing.
The official logline for the episode reveals, “When Colter suddenly vanishes while searching for a missing father, Reenie enlists the help of his brother, Russell.”
Justin Hartley shared insights about Russell’s storyline in this episode with TV Insider, stating, “Russell is quite heroic in Episode 2, and they find themselves entangled in a bizarre black ops situation.”
He further noted, “Suddenly, government officials start inquiring about our dad, and it leaves you thinking, ‘What’s going on here?'”
Tracker Spoilers: Hartley Talks About Episode Three
Justin continues, “In each episode, Dad seems to be gaining a bit more validation, or perhaps he’s just losing his grip on reality. It’s hard to say for sure; we’re delving deeper into that mystery”, Hartley shared.
Episode 3, titled “Bloodlines,” marks the return of Sofia Pernas as Billy Matalon, a competing tracker who ropes Colter into a new case, as hinted at in the episode’s description. “
He’s definitely the type to say, ‘So, you need my help, huh?’ It’s that playful back-and-forth, like, ‘Sure, I’ll assist you, but you have to ask nicely,’”
Hartley explained about their relationship. “Colter joins forces with rival bounty hunter Billie Matalon to track down a missing high school baseball star.”
