Walker Texas Ranger Reboot Gets Early Series Order From The CWThe CW recently announced that it has ordered a pilot script directly to series for two shows. One is the Walker, Texas Ranger reboot that stars Supernatural alum, Jared Padalecki. The other is Superman & Lois, an Arrowverse spin-off.

About the Walker, Texas Ranger Reboot

The TV reboot is described to center on a man named Walker, who is a widowed father of two children. He comes back to Austin after a two-year undercover operation. However, he returns to find out the real hard work isn’t in law enforcement — it’s at home.

He will try to recreate a bond with his kids and deals with family drama. He also discovers unexpected common ground with his new partner, who just happens to be one of the first women in Rangers’ history.

Fans should also expect Walker to become suspicious about the circumstances that led to his wife’s death. It definitely sounds like the TV reboot will be interesting. Those who walked the original starring Chuck Norris are hopeful it will be a success.

When Will Episodes Begin Filming?

The pilot episode has not been filmed yet, according to Entertainment Weekly. They will begin filming the first episodes in spring. Additional pilot orders for the upcoming television season should be announced in the next few weeks.

Jared Padalecki Staying With The CW

For the past 15 years, Padalecki portrayed Sam Winchester on Supernatural. Despite the long-running series coming to an end, Jared will remain with The CW network. He has a large fan base and some of those may follow him from Supernatural to Walker.

There were rumors of the actor being cast as the lead in the Walker, Texas Ranger reboot. Eventually, those rumors were confirmed to be true.

Walker Joins Other Popular TV Shows

Walker will join the roster of several other shows. These include Superman & Lois, The Flash, Charmed, Supergirl, and Black Lightning. There are also Legends of Tomorrow, Riverdale, Batwoman, Nancy Drew, Legacies, and Dynasty, as well as Roswell, New Mexico.
