What is there to watch on Thanksgiving eve? Expect a lot of returning classics and original series to air well into the Thanksgiving weekend. On Wednesday, Nov. 27, The Irishman will return to Netflix. Meanwhile, S.W.A.T. will go up against Organized Crime and the Peanuts gang. Here are some programs you’ll want to watch this weekend, according to TVLine.
Want to Netflix and chill? Watch the premiere of the docuseries Broken. Each episode will focus on the corruption, fraud, and negligence behind some of the world’s biggest companies, including cosmetics, e-cigarettes, and low-cost furniture. It’s the perfect show to get lost into if you don’t want to watch a Thanksgiving-themed show.
The Irishman is also making its premiere on Netflix. The original movie stars Al Pacino, Joe Pesci, and Robert De Niro. This new organized crime saga is told through the eyes of a WWI veteran who became a hitman. Over at Hulu is Castle Rock, which reveals that “Annie sees things for what they are.” You’ll have to watch to find out.
A Charlie Brown’s Thanksgiving
If you love classic holiday shows, A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving will air on ABC at 8:00 p.m. EST. The Peanuts will gather around the table for their annual Thanksgiving dinner. The special is followed by This Is America, Charlie Brown: The Mayflower Voyagers at 8:30 p.m. EST. Meanwhile, Ellen’s Game of Games will be on NBC at the same time.
If you want something funnier then you’ll want to watch SNL Thanksgiving. You’ll get two hours’ worth of laughs in holiday-themed sketches. The SEAL team will then make their return to CBS at 9:00 p.m. EST. Ray is in charge of a mission to save a Marine pilot while Jason is out of commission. That show is followed by a new episode of S.W.A.T., which shows the team working with an Organized Crime division to find an officer who was abducted during a failed undercover op.
More hijinks ensue during the Baroness von Sketch Show at midnight. The Season 4 is comprised of two episodes. Sketches feature breastfeeding bullies, insane positions, and tickets to Cats on Broadway. These are just some of the shows that will debut on Thanksgiving eve.
Thanksgiving TV Shows 2019
Thanksgiving Day has everything from holiday specials too football, according to the Los Angeles Times. Keltie knight and Kevid Frazier will host the Thanksgiving Day Parade on CBS while Al Roker, Hoda Kotb, and Savannah Gunthrie host the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade over at NBC. Both parades will air at 9:00 a.m. EST. Then NFL Football kicks a day of football games with the Detroit Lions taking on the Chicago Bears at 9:30 a.m. EST on FOX.
