‘Wheel Of Fortune’ Vanna White Saves The Day For Ryan Seacrest

Wheel of Fortune will premiere a new season soon and Vanna White will work alongside the new host, Ryan Seacrest. Well, it hasn’t even started yet and this weekend, she had to rescue him from a tight spot at the Santa Monica Pier event.

Wheel of Fortune Fans Sorry To See Pat Sajak Go

When fans learned that Pat Sajak was retiring from the game show, they suspected that the older man had been bullied out of his show. Well, that made fans less than willing to give Ryan Seacrest a free ride when they heard that he would take over alongside Vanna White. 

Some Wheel of Fortune fans thought that it was a slap in the face for Vanna White to bring in a new host. After all, she would probably be quite capable of doing the job herself. Well,  for the time being, she is staying on and teaching him the ropes. And, the Fall premiere arrives in just over a week. 

Vanna White To The Rescue At Santa Monica Pier

Monsters and Critics reported that Ryan was all excited about the event for the show at Santa Monica pier. Vanna White arrived before him, and he met up with her near the big wheel. Crowds of people were there and the hype was good. But an unforeseen issue happened and it was Vanna who saved the day. 

The Wheel of Fortune host and Vanna White went into a “movie trailer” along with WOF’s “Social Correspondent, Maggie Sajak.” However, the door locked behind them and they couldn’t get out again. Ryan filmed while people looked in through the window. He tried to get their attention, but they didn’t seem to realize the problem. @kimmy_robinson_66 on Instagram saved the clips for posterity. 

It was Vanna Who Opened The Door

The outlet reported that the co-host fiddled with the door and figured a way out. They noted:

Vanna continued to shimmy the door handle, and after nearly a minute, she was able to unlock the door and open it, much to Maggie’s delight, who let out an excited shriek.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem as if Ryan Seacrest’s MacGyver escape instincts kicked in other than to try and get a message to someone that they were trapped in the trailer. At least he acknowledged Vanna though, by saying, “Vanna White to the rescue.”
