Whoopi Goldberg Apologizes To J.D. Vance On The View

Spoilers for The View: While one of the iconic hosts of the view, Whoopi Goldberg, has made it no secret that she is not a big fan of Donald Trump’s running mate and VP Pick, J.D. Vance, in a statement on the show recently she actually apologized to him. This is what went down.

The View Spoilers – Taylor Swift Endorsed Kamala Harris For President

The View is no stranger to heated political discussions over the last decade and most recently the hosts were discussing Taylor Swift’s endorsement of VP Kamala Harris for President. On her Instagram she wrote, “Like many of you I watched the debate tonight. If you haven’t already, now is a great time to do your research on the issues at hand and the stances these candidates take on the topics that matter to you the most.”

She went on to say, “I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election. I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them.” Which directly conflicts with the AI generated images that surfaced recently implying that she was a Trump supporter. According to the singer that couldn’t be further from the truth.

Holy emotional whiplash, Batman! When the AI Generated images wmof Swift were first discovered, J.D. Vance came out saying, “We admire Taylor Swift’s music, but I don’t think most Americans, whether they are fans of hers or not, are going to be influenced by a billionaire celebrity who I think is fundamentally disconnected from the interests and problems of most Americans.” before going on to say that billionaires are simply not impacted by rising grocery and housing costs.

Goldberg didn’t take too kindly to this, she has been a vocal opponent to both Trump and Vance since they first announced their campaign. To the comments regarding the rising costs of things, she said “You don’t know her money! How you talking about her? Shut up!” then she backtracked and said, “I’m sorry. That was rude. J.D., stop talking.” and went on to further explain her apology to the audience of The View.

“The reason I apologized is because I hate when pundits tell me to shut up and it’s not a nice thing to say but I do take it back.” said Goldberg, “But the implication is… hush! We were just talking about how Taylor Swift endorsing Harris-Walz is triggering Republicans. It’s a big deal. It really is freaking them out.”
