Whoopi Goldberg Takes Joy Behar’s ‘The View’ Shade Personal

Here we are talking about the holidays and Goldberg and Behar‘s calendar for the season – Goldberg’s includes a run as Miss Hannigan on Broadway’s latest resurrection of the hit musical ‘Annie’ – and the ladies are seemingly throwing shades at one another. Or at least Behar is doing the shade throwing and Goldberg is catching them. Didn’t expect this level of ‘The View’ drama to come this late in the year.

Joy Behar – Doesn’t Want To Be At “Work” If She Doesn’t Have Friends There

This is a classic case of “what’s that supoosed to mean?” (For some reason, I actually imagined this in Lindsay Lohan’s ‘The Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen’ voice. Don’t know if she said it in the movie but it fits).

Anyway, Goldberg recently caught a lot of hate mail this week from fans over her comments about a small business, and now she’s getting it from Behar? I didn’t actually expect Behar to dump on The View moderator like this.

As the ladies discussed the role friendship played in getting them through the Coronavirus period, Behar made it clear that she was “happy” she was fired in 2013 because all her friends had left at that point.

Behar said: “I always have friends where I work, and if I don’t have friends at the job, I will not keep the job. So, when I was fired last time from this show, people say to me, ‘Were you OK with that?’ And my answer is, I was happy, because all my friends had left already. So, there was no reason to stay anymore. I mean it.”

Again, “what is that supposed to mean?”

Well, Goldberg wanted some clarification, as did the rest of us, as she responded, “Really? All your friends left? It’s OK. I’m cool.”

Don’t mind me, I’m just here wondering how long it’ll take them to kiss and make up this time round.

The drama, however, is nothing new to longtime fans of the show, as the mostly left-leaning ladies know how to bring the heat down on anyone with different opinions from theirs. Perfect for people who agree with them, not so much for others that don’t.

But all’s fair in love and drama, right?

Anyone can have friends or be friendly at work with co-workers.Going to work isn’t about friendships,it’s about doing a job. What the women do on The View shouldn’t even be considered a job.Getting paid millions to sit on your butt and spread disinformation should be considered a crime, not a JOB!
