Her newest achievement is a role in Summer Camp which is getting a theatrical release on May 31. The film also stars Diane Keaton, Alfre Woodard, Kathy Bates, Eugene Levy and a host of others. During a recent interview with Daytime Confidential, Rowell spoke about the upcoming film as well as a host of other topics.
Would Victoria Rowell join the cast of The Gates
When asked about the possibility of coming to The Gates, Rowell said she would absolutely consider coming on board the show, either in front of or behind the camera. As a talented director and amazing actress, Rowell would fit right in on the new soap which is set to premiere in January of 2025.
The Gates will be the first new soap in decades on network television. It will be an hour long and air weekdays although an exact time slot has not yet been announced.
The Gates will be feature all new characters and stories!
The Gates will depict the lives of a wealthy black family in a luxurious gated community, Michele Val Jean will serve as writer and showrunner.

Val Jean has written over 2,000 episodes of daytime drama and has won multiple daytime Emmys and WGA Awards for her work on such shows as The Bold & The Beautiful and General Hospital.
Val Jean will also serve as an executive producer along with Sheila Ducksworth, Leon Russell, Derrick Johnson and Kimberly Doebereiner.
The Gates is a joint venture between CBS Studios and NAACP
The Gates will be produced as partnership between CBS Studios and the NAACP. They will also partner with P&G Studios, a division of Proctor and Gamble. Proctor and Gamble is no stranger to the world of soaps.
Although they don’t produce any other soaps currently, they in the past helmed shows like Another World, Guiding Light and As the World Turns as well as many others

I think it is a BIG MISTAKE rehiring Victoria R (Drucella). I remember the court case where she sued Y&R. I can’t believe you would give her a second thought. I didn’t think she was worth the trouble she put the show through.
