5 Reasons Why ‘Young and the Restless’ Mark Grossman Should Win This Year’s Daytime Emmy For Best Supporting Actor

5 Reasons Why 'Young and the Restless' Mark Grossman Should Win This Year’s Daytime Emmy For Best Supporting ActorCBS The Young and The Restless spoilers and updates reveal will Mark Grossman (Adam Newman) win this year’s Daytime Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama? We sure are hoping so.

Here are five reasons why Mark should bring home the award this year.

A Beautiful Balance Of Raw Emotions And Hopelessness

If there’s one thing that Mark Grossman has proven to The Young and the Restless fans this past year, it’s that he brings the kind of intensity in some scenes that we haven’t seen in a very long time. While Adam Newman is certainly a man with a murderous past, he’s also someone who is hellbent on seeking his revenge while also trying to gain the respect that he desperately wants and to some extent deserves. Mark has done an exceptional job of balancing all of that raw emotion with a peek of hopelessness in Adam that we wouldn’t otherwise see in a soap character.

B&B Spoilers – You Want To Hate Adam Newman, But Can’t Help But Root For Him

Let’s face it: Adam Newman is no angel and his actions in Genoa City have proven that to us time and time again. While there are plenty of reasons why you would want to hate Adam Newman (like the fact that he killed an innocent child), you also can’t help but root for him as well.

That’s because Adam just wants what other men in his stage in life both want and need: acceptance and respect from his father and a family of his own that he can love and provide for. Each time Adam gets close to having both, he gets pushed back, with Mark Grossman doing a great job of portraying that struggle in his character.

The Only Son Who Can Bring Victor Newman Down

While there are very few people or even things in this world that can make The Moustache wince, there’s a good chance that Adam Newman might just be the one person that can bring his father Victor down. Plus, Adam has made it no secret that he wants – and even deserves – the CEO title of Newman Enterprises. Mark Grossman’s scenes with actor Eric Braeden have not only been intense and electrifying at once but also truly do make us scared for Victor and his future!

The Bold and The Beautiful Spoilers – Mark Grossman’s Chemistry With His Co-Stars

While there’s no denying that Adam Newman in Genoa City’s ultimately bad boy, he’s also one of the most handsome men on daytime television. Sure, Justin Hartley has millions of fans from all over the world, but Mark Grossman is a different kind of heartthrob.

With his model-good looks, his chiseled face, and his broody demeanor, it’s no wonder he has such great chemistry with his co-stars, and particularly with Melissa Claire Egan and Sharon Case. As a matter of fact, there are even some reports that hint Mark and Sharon might be an off-screen couple, which just attests to how much his co-stars can’t get enough of him!

Could He Be The Best Adam Newman Yet?

Before Mark Grossman took over the role of Adam Newman on The Young and the Restless, there was some speculation that a former actor would come back to the soap to reprise the role. Well, now that Mark has been on the series for well over a year now, many fans have agreed that he is not only a perfect fit for the role but perhaps the best Adam Newman to date.

He’s someone that keeps fans on the edge of their seats during each and every scene he is in, and that’s why he deserves the recognition he’s so far gotten from the Daytime Emmys. And just to think, Mark is still a rookie. We have a feeling there is plenty more to come from this talented daytime television actor.

I would give this actor an award for working hard to make the tired, worn-out feuding with the Newman’s story his all if nothing else! How many different Adams been playing this same broken record. He deserves a fresh new Adam story of his own.
