CBS The Young and the Restless spoilers and updates reveal newcomer Sasha Calle (Lola Rosales) has been nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award this year and for plenty of good reasons, too. Not only is she a talented rising star in the soap world, but she’s also someone who steals every scene that she’s in each time she’s in front of the cameras. You just can’t take your eyes off of her! Here are just five reasons why she was nominated this year.
#1 Her Passion With Kyle Abbott
While things were still good between them, you could tell that Lola is the kind of girl who is willing and ready to always treat her man like he’s a king. Unfortunately for Lola, what she got instead was a spoiled prince who couldn’t decide if he wanted a commitment or if he wanted to keep his options open for the future. With that said though, there was plenty of passion and exciting chemistry between Kyle and Lola while it lasted. It’s just too bad he’s the kind of guy who doesn’t realize what he has until he loses it, right?
#2 Her Rebound With Theo Vanderway
While no one really knows what’s in store for Theo and Lola, we do know this: their relationship and romance is just as complicated as Lola’s short-lived marriage with Kyle. Theo is the ultimate bad boy but there’s something about Lola that makes Theo want to settle down and be happy with her. Maybe it’s her smile, her innocence or her sweet persona, but Theo is ready to sacrifice everything in his life to be with her. You have to give credit to Sasha for going from heartbroken to a heart breaker in just a matter of a few short days, too!
#3 You Can’t Help But Root For Lola Rosales
Lola Rosales came to Genoa City from Miami looking for opportunities but instead, she ended up almost dying, got divorced faster than she got engaged, and was left terribly heartbroken over being lied to by the two-timing sneaky rat Kyle Abbott. And while The Young and The Restless Lola might have made some mistakes along the way, you also can’t help but root for a girl like her. Because you know that she is someone who deserves love and happiness but unfortunately is just finding them in all of the wrong places. Either way, you want to see Lola have everything in life that she deserves.
#4 But Lola Rosales Should Have Listened To Her Brothers
Sometimes family does know best, right? We can see why Lola’s two older brothers Arturo and Rey Rosales were very concerned about her when she began dating Kyle. They saw right away that he was a rat that didn’t deserve the precious gem that is their sister. Needless to say, Lola should have listened to her bigger brothers while they were trying to warn her that he’s a sleazy guy who won’t stay committed to her. But with Lola being Lola she fell hard for Kyle and Sasha Calle did an excellent job portraying her character as a girl who was completely lost in love with this handsome Abbott prince that she got to call her own.

#5 Lola Rosales Is Like No Other Girl In Genoa City
Let’s face it, there really isn’t another girl in Genoa City like Lola Rosales. While the others know what they want and will always work to get what they want too, Lola’s isn’t like that. She’s the kind of person who would rather give than receive. There was also an innocence about Y&R Lola that Sasha Calle did a great job of bringing out in the character. She was somewhere in between that lost, little girl looking for love and a woman who knew how much she was worth.

I disagree with Joanna, who seems to have a crush on the actress who cannot act. She pouts, pretends to be a chef while being a fry cook in a sandwich truck, for God’;s sake, and is an annoying presence on the show, who went from perpetual virgin to puta in a nanosecond.

Couldn’t agree more with this. Sasha Calle is such a talented young woman. The show is lucky to have her. I hope Y&R steps it up and gives her stories worthy of her talent. The writers messed up when they ruined Kyle and Lola’s relationship. They need to fix things between them. They are a super couple in the making.
Your comment has hate inside and it is sad . shameful. Lola is give Y&R diversity and she is good actress. Kola will never go way . It was the best thing for Y&R. Kyle and Summer is pure none sense . All fans see is two rich brat and is not appealing .
