5 Reasons ‘Young and The Restless’ Needs Patty Williams Back On ‘Y&R’ When New Episodes Air

CBS The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that many past Genoa City characters left the canvas too soon, with tons of story still to play out. Patty Williams is one of those characters. Last played by Stacy Haiduk, Patty is the sister of Paul Williams (Doug Davidson). She has had some tumultuous times on the show, and the last time she left there were a lot of loose ends still to be tied up.

Here are five reasons why we want Patty back on Y&R!

#1 Patty Williams Should Come Back To Explore Her Relationship With Jack Abbott.

Way back in the 80’s Patty fell hard for Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). Much has been written recently about Jack needing to find the love of a good woman, one he can settle down with and grow old with.

Why not Patty? Yes, she miscarried Jack’s child and later shot him numerous times, but everyone deserves a second chance, right? Patty is clearly attuned to Jack and who knows what might happen if they hook up again?

#2 There Is Some Unfinished Business That Patty Williams Has With Adam Newman.

Everyone knows that Adam is a fiendishly bad guy, but his exploits go way, way back. For instance, he once made Patty believe she had killed a man. She did not, but Adam was intent on playing with her mind. Isn’t it about the time he apologizes?

#3 After All These Years Patty Williams Deserves To Get Appropriate Treatment For Her Mental Health Issues.

Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) is counseling everyone else in town, so why not try to help Patty get better? Even though she is not licensed or even done with school, everyone seems to think that Sharon is a miracle worker. Doesn’t Patty deserve the best?

#4 Patty Williams And Paul Williams Should Make Another Attempt To Forge A Solid Relationship.

It’s clear that Paul dearly loves his sister. He has always tried to do right by her, even he had to make hard decisions due to her mental instability. Patty didn’t always understand why Paul felt it necessary to have her institutionalized, but she values her brother. Time is running out for these two to bury the past and move forward.

#5 Maybe Dylan McAvoy will come back with her.

Dylan McAvoy (formerly Steve Burton) is Paul’s son and Patty’s nephew. She never really had a chance to get to know him although she expressed a strong desire to do so. He is in the Witness Protection Program and who is to say that Patty’s return might not be linked to, or in someway prompt, Dylan to return as well?
