Blazing Young and the Restless Spoilers: Adam & Alyssa Find Proof Of Murder – But Was Victor Really The Killer?

Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) believes that his father was involved in a murder on ‘The Young and the Restless’. After visiting Kansas with his wife and son, on a scouting mission for a future ‘Chadam’ remarriage, Adam also made contact with a childhood friend.

Alyssa Montalvo (Maria DiDomenico) is a crime reporter. Her father, A.J. Montalvo (a part not yet known to be cast), died many years ago in an apparent fall from a barn loft. But the former loan shark, who spent time in jail, is now thought to not have died accidentally.

Adam thinks the seeming evidence Alyssa unearthed is real. He plans to use that as a neutralizer against Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). But Y&R fans know that the Moustache is not one to be threatened, whether he was involved in A.J.’s demise, or not.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Kansas Seems So Long Ago

Loyal viewers recall with great fondness the arc that began in Kansas in the 1990’s. Victor left Genoa City, Wisconsin, after he mistakenly caused a pregnant Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) to fall down the stairs at the original Ranch main house. She was pregnant with Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) child at the time and their unborn baby died.

Victor’s departure from GC was later followed by news reports that proclaimed he died in a car-related accident, where a vehicle went up in flames. Braeden’s invincible alter ego hadn’t died, but made his way to Hope Adams’ (Signy Coleman) farm.

Hope and Victor’s friendship developed into romance. Of course, Victor’s survival was welcomed with relief by most people in GC, where he returned with Hope. The married couple had a son, who they named Victor Adam Newman Junior.

Y&R Spoilers – Historical Feud Creates Modern Dilemma

Adam believed that Cliff Wilson (David Cowgill) was his father. That was during the childhood period when he and Alyssa became friends. But Cliff was not connected to Adam biologically, which Hope told her son when she was dying.

Chris Engen (Adam) became the first SORAS’d adult version of this character. Adam settled in his father’s home city and tried to fit into the Newman world, that his mother rejected when he was still a baby.

Adam came to believe that Victor had actually abandoned him and his mother. He held his father responsible for perceived wounds and began a persistent campaign to bring Victor down, which is currently demonstrated by Adam’s effort to accuse his father of A.J.’s murder.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Was Victor Newman A Hero?

Adam initially expressed uncertainty about Victor’s role in whatever happened to A.J. and even had doubts as to whether he should use any evidence Alyssa found. He told Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) that it was possible Victor could have been defending Hope and himself (when he was a child), which may have created the need to use lethal force.

But Adam seems unwilling to consider that Victor may have played some form of heroic role in stopping A.J. from committing a violent act against another person, or people. This also assumes that Alyssa’s father was guilty of something, which he may not have been. But greater clarity will soon be provided to viewers.
