In her post, she said, “So grateful for the opportunity! Thanks especially to @angelica_mcd @cbsdaytime #tonymorino @youngandrestlesscbs @sptv Opens and all the actors I had the pleasure to work with. Such an extraordinary amount of talented people! It was so emotional for me!”
She added, “Xxx to everyone involved in making this happen. And to be clear- I’m directing not acting!” She wanted to clarify things since fans tend to get overly excited and when they don’t get what they expect, they immediately get disappointed.
This is not Tom’s first stint in the show. Although when she was in “Young and the Restless,” she wasn’t directing but acting out the character of Victoria Newman from 1991 to 1997 and again between 1997 and 2003. She is not new to being a director either. Tom first directed “The Bold and the Beautiful” in 2016. She directed an episode in 2018, which aired on March 18. The episode involved the return of Pierson Fode, who played Thomas Forrester at that time.
During that same year, Tom was given the opportunity to join the CBS Director’s Initiative Program where experienced directors are given access to important people in the industry while getting a chance to shadow CBS Television Network and CBS Television Studio throughout the year.
The episode she directed is set to air on Wednesday, July 17. It features Mark Grossman (Adam Newman), Jason Thompson (Billy Abbott), Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard), Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc), Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland), Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) and Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart).
Apart from directing episodes on “The Bold and The Beautiful” and “The Young and the Restless,” Tom also directed a short film titled “Blink.” In this movie, she worked with her sister Nicolle Tom, Aaron D. Spears, and Alley Mills. The story centered on a woman who’s been having a bad day. Later, she was assaulted in her home and woke up in the hospital shocked at how her face looked like upon seeing herself on the mirror.

Get rid of Diane, what she did in the past should not be forgiven by Jack. She is so full of herself.
