Rumors have been circulating about Stafford’s exit from The Young and the Restless. But it seems like there is some truth to the speculations. The actress finally cleared things up as she responded to her fans’ question about her character leaving Genoa City.
Talks about her character leaving began when Summer Newman (Hunter King) offered Phyllis a job in Milan. Since that episode, fans have started to wonder whether she’s leaving the show for good.
Fuel was added to the fire when Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) gave a speech as to why Phyllis should stay in Genoa City instead of leaving for Italy. Stafford also shared Baldwin’s video on her Instagram account while adding that she loves working with the show’s amazing cast.
The Young And The Restless – Fans Ask Stafford If She Was Leaving Y&R
Fans didn’t waste any time. They took the liberty to ask the actress if she was indeed leaving the show. The actress responded to clear things up. She said that Phyllis is leaving Genoa City.
Stafford confirmed that she’s leaving, which scared many fans that she might never return. Fortunately, the actress responded to another fan who had the same question and wrote that she’s leaving only for two weeks.
It seems like Michael and Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) didn’t like the idea of Phyllis moving away to Milan for good. However, they do want her to spend time with Summer in Milan.

I love Phyllis and would proably stop watching should she leave. So over Victoria and Abby charecters I ff everything they're in. I'm rooting for Phyllis and Jack to have another go at it…. Both are more mature and could be the next Victor/Niki relationship. Lets face it, there has to be a couple waiting on the wings because Victor is very old. And just like the actor who played Neil, he could simply just die..
I love Phyllis her character is great to watch. Michelle plays her so well. I hope she won’t be written out. If so bring the other Phyllis back.
