Is Tessa Leaving Y&R ?

CBS The Young and the Restless update and spoilers indicate that the future for Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) could be far, far away from Genoa City. Is Tessa leaving Y&R?

Even though Tessa has been on the canvas for years, she somehow still seems half-baked, like a character that has never really been fully developed. And that kind of ambiguity never bodes well for a character’s long term future.

If she is leaving Y&R it should not come as a surprise for several reasons.

Not only is the character underdeveloped, but she is also partially out already, plus her partner is living life just fine without her.

The Young and the Restless Updates – Tessa Porter has been all over the map plot wise

Tessa has tons of promise as a character who can put down roots in Genoa City but the storylines she’s been involved in just fizzle out. For example, there has been good Tessa and bad Tessa, neither of which the fans seem to be able to get a handle on.

Bad Tessa has lied, cheated, and stolen from her loved ones. Initially, she was fighting to save her sister from a cult, and living out of her car. Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) took pity on her and brought her into her family. Many were suspicious of the vagabond and rightfully so.

Who stuffs a fortune in cash into a teddy bear and mails it to herself, then lies about it? Tessa did!

CBS Y&R spoilers – Tessa has one foot out the door already

Second, Tessa is halfway out the door in Genoa City. She’s taken up with her ex and on her way to becoming the next big rock star. That means lots of nights apart from partner Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and a focus on career not relationships.

Tessa’s new lifestyle has already proved to be disastrous for Teriah. Impulsive Mariah thought Tessa was cheating on her so she had revenge/pity sex with a barista whose name she barely knew.

Third, Mariah seems to be getting along just fine without Tessa. Sure, she’s a hot mess at times, but Tessa only adds to that dynamic.

If Tessa departs, Mariah will have plenty to do helping her mom beat cancer and being a big sister to Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) who could use a little grounding in this time of family uncertainty. Is Tessa leaving Y&R? Be sure to tune in and find out!
