The Young And Restless Spoilers: Nate’s Experimental Treatment For Nikki, New Pitch Offers Hope To Keep Sight?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will wish he could do more to help Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) following her heartbreaking diagnosis.

Nikki has a mass that’s applying pressure on her optic nerve, so it could result in blindness if left untreated or if she moves ahead with the risky surgery.

Nate mentioned radiation as an option as well, but Nikki pointed out that her doctor suggested surgery was best.

Although Nikki wishes Nate could perform the procedure himself, he faced a career-ending hand injury that’s standing in the way.

Nate can still find another surgeon to remove the mass, but he’ll hate the idea of Nikki ending up blind as the result of the procedure. That’s a real possibility, but maybe another option could emerge that leaves Nikki with more hope.

On June 26, Y&R spoilers say Dr. Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox) will meet with Nate and deliver a proposal.

Since Stephanie has already been hinting for Nate to make a comeback in medicine, this could be a path to that happening.

It turns out there’ll be some sort of important project that Stephanie could use some assistance on. That’s why Stephanie will reach out to Nate and push him to become her newest recruit.

What if Nate returns to medicine and helps oversee a new experimental treatment program? There might be some medical trial that could help Nikki avoid surgery or at least undergo a less risky procedure.

This might land in Nate’s lap at exactly the right time and give him a chance to offer hope to Nikki through a new pitch.

Nikki admitted she’d trust Nate with her life, so she’ll probably go along with whatever he recommends – especially if it gives her a better chance at keeping her sight.

Whatever the case, it’s interesting that Stephanie will push Nate to be part of a mysterious project right as Nikki’s facing such a terrible medical ordeal.

There’s the potential for these storylines to overlap if the project could help Nikki in some way.
