The Young And The Restless – Will Nikki Newman Cause Newman Media Lawsuit?

The Young and the Restless fans theorize whether Nikki will be responsible for Newman Media being hit with a lawsuit.

The user Tonilove posted on the SoapCentral.com Message Boards: “Nikki is opening Newman Media to a potential lawsuit. Clearly, neither Newman Media nor its parent company Newman Industries, has a policy against employees dating.”

Anything goes with Newman Media. The Y&R fan noted that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) have been involved in the past.

Sally moved on with Adam’s brother Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) mix personal and professional without repercussions.

Relationships and dating take place at the executive level of the company all the time. Now, Nikki wants to change things because she doesn’t like the idea of Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) sleeping with Audra Charles (Zuleyka Charles) while he’s still married to Summer Newman (Allison Lanier).

However, the original poster that it would be illegal for Nikki to create a rule against workplace relationships out of retaliation.

“An interesting storyline would be for them to sue Newman, win, and pull the media division away to run it separately,” the user noted.

The Young and the Restless fans took to the thread to share their thoughts. One argued that Audra would have to prove that it was out of retaliation. She can’t since the conversation between her and Nikki was private. All Nikki would have to say is that it never happened.

Y&R Spoilers – Fans Can Nikki Pull New Rule?

The Young and the Restless fans speculated whether Nikki could come up with this new rule now that she’s the new CEO of Newman Media.

One noted that Nikki is only making this demand to Kyle, not to Audra. Newman Media could be hit with a lawsuit if she fires Audra and Kyle for having an affair.

“I too think it opens up the potential for a lawsuit. Is Nicki going to lie under oath? That’s not an easy thing to do. If I’m not mistaken, Nicki has told other people that she requested that. Are they going to lie?” one fan asked.

Other Y&R fans argued about what Nikki would gain out of this. She’s only doing it because it’s become a personal problem. Yet, her daughter Victoria is allowed to have relationships at work. Newman Media is a family-owned and run company where anything happens.
