The Young And The Restless  – Hunter King Stars In Two Scoops Of Italy

The new film premiered on the Hallmark Channel on Saturday, June 22. The movie is about an American chef who travels to a small village in Italy.

Not only does she fall in love with the food and culture, but she also falls for a tall, dark, and handsome man who helps her explore the place.

The two explore traditional flavors. The rom-com was filled in Italy. Hunter King spoke to Soaps.com about her cooking skills. She said that she’s “new to cooking.” So, she’s “probably a three” on a scale of 1 – 10. King and her co-star Michele Rosiello had to learn how to make gelato. She didn’t have to cook on the set of the film though.

“All I had to worry about doing was placing little garnishes on different dishes,” she said. “Oh, okay, I can do this!”

Hunter King sought unlikely inspiration for the film. She watched Guy’s Grocery Games. She admits that she’s a big fan of Guy Fieri. King would compete on the show if she could up-level her cooking skills.

Y&R Spoilers – Alum Producing Hallmark Projects?

During the interview, the former soap actress joked that she has the perfect sequel for Two Scoops of Italy. It would feature Fieri himself with a version of Guy’s Grocery Games. It would take place in an Italian market.

Hunter King also teased the idea of pitching other projects to Hallmark. Most of the network’s soap alumni produce their own movies.

Days of Our Lives alum Alison Sweeney penned the script for the latest Hannah Swensen mysteries series titled, One Bad Apple. So, what does King think about this idea?

“My boyfriend [Chris Copier] and I… I think we’ve manifested the idea of Italy,” King exclaimed. “We had just finished writing a script that we want to be like Hallmark-y kind of script, takes place in Italy.”

She hasn’t pitched the script to Hallmark yet. The couple are working on “making our pitch deck.” She hopes that it will happen “soon.” King shared why she wanted this movie to take place in Italy. “I just really want to go back for all the food,” she shared.
