The Young and The Restless Alum Max Ehrich’s Latest Projects After Leaving Y&R

Max Ehrich, formerly known as Fenmore Baldwin on “The Young and The Restless,” has kept himself pretty busy after leaving the show four years ago. His latest project is Lifetime’s “American Princess” where he portrays the role of Brett, the man who was left waiting at the altar after his bride during their wedding day after his bride ran off on him when she found out that he was cheating on her.

The actor said, “I think we can all relate to planning for something and then having a crisis that leads you to reevaluate.”

He also teased that there’s more to his character that viewers need to know. “But you’ll find out a bit more as to how and why that happened… Brett is not just a cold-hearted [jerk].”

“Brett’s heartbroken because as much as he knows he screwed up, people also don’t just get married on a whim. They really thought they loved each other,” he added.

According to Ehrich, his previous role as Fenmore on “The Young and the Restless” made it easier for him to ease into his new role in “American Princess.”

“Fenmore almost went off to be an attorney — that’s what his dad wanted him to do — and they both also grew up having pretty privileged lives,” Ehrich shared. “Brett is not as edgy or dark as Fen [was], but they’re both finding themselves and making mistakes along the way.”

Ehrich has appeared in other TV shows including “Ugly Betty,” “The Pregnancy Pact,” “Under the Dome,” “100 Things To Do Before High School,” “The Path,” and “The Sweet/Vicious.” His movie credits include “One Easy Job,” “Grace Face,” and “The Last Breakfast Club.”

In his latest film “Walk. Ride. Rodeo.,” he plays a man who offers support to a recently paralyzed female barrel racer and encourages her to pursue her dream and passion despite everything that has happened. He also co-wrote the song “Ride” for the film, along with Amberley Snyder. Ehrich is focusing more on music lately. “I want to be traveling, playing my music and exploring the different cities and countries I go to,” he said. “That’s my plan.”

The Lifetime series, “American Princess,” is the story of an Upper East Side socialite, Amanda, who runs away from her dream wedding after she discovers that her fiancé cheated on her. She finds herself stranded in a Renaissance Faire with no means of communication and with no way to get back home. She then suffers a major nervous breakdown after she finds out that her actions made the headlines. This leads Amanda to reevaluate her life, causing her to leave everything she had behind, and embrace a new beginning as the Faire’s newest wench-in-waiting.
