The Young and The Restless Bryton James Opens Up About Mishael Morgan’s Exit

The Young and the Restless actor Bryton James (Devon Hamilton) is opening up about his co-star Mishael Morgan (Hilary Curtis) after her decision to leave the highly rated CBS soap. Bryton, who plays Devon on the show, was heavily involved with Mishael’s character, Hilary. As a matter of fact, the on-screen couple was expecting their first child together until a pregnant Hilary died in a devastating car crash that happened when Lily ran a red light.

Bryton is now recalling all of his fond memories of working with Hilary on the soap. After all, she is going to be sorely missed by her co-stars and the crew of The Young and the Restless.

The actor told CBS Soaps In A Depth in a new interview, “Mishael was always ready to commit 110 percent to the material that was on the page, which is an acting partner’s dream. I remember when we had so much anticipation for our first love scene, so our nerves were pretty high. The way we got through it was making each other feel comfortable and relaxed, but that’s what it was like every day with us. Mishael is nothing like Hilary. She’s one of the kindest, sweetest, most considerate persons I’ve met. In the five years that she was on the show, she never came without a smile on her face or in a bad mood. She was miles and miles away from who Hilary was, which just proves her talent even more.”
