The Young and The Restless (Y&R) star Camryn Grimes plays the role of Mariah Copeland and isn’t new to the screen. In fact, she acted in the soap since 1997. The Young and The Restless star casually dropped the news about her bisexuality in the comments on her Twitter post in May 2020. Well, she also worked on a new short movie called 2020: A 1917 Parody. In that movie which is now available to watch, she acts alongside Michael Lieberman. Other cast members include Terika Jefferson, Monib Abhat, Josh Han, and Jennifer McDonnell amongst others. According to Soap Opera News, it’s “directed and written by Stephen Ford.”

In the movie, 2020: A 1917 Parody, fans of Camryn Grimes can expect a really good laugh. Incredibly, @ascener on YouTube explains that “it was written, produced, directed and edited by one person, shooting it entirely on a Fuji X-T3 with a Zhiyun Weebill-S.” Of course, the pandemic didn’t make it easy and it seems very good considering the limitations of equipment and lockdowns.

The Young and The Restless fans are not the only people who think it’s great quality. In fact, on YouTube, one viewer wrote, “How does this not have a billion views, this was incredible! Loved the transitions. Fits completely in line with the movie.” Then another person noted, “This is higher quality than some officially released movies…! Brilliant !!!!“

Meanwhile, on Stephen Ford’s Instagram, one fan noted, “My eyes are itching, I laughed so hard! The Valdemart shot revealing the wildfire and the murder hornets really got me.”

The Young And The Restless – Tragi-Comedy Feel To The Movie

Some fans feel that as it’s dystopian and filmed in 2020, the longest of years, that it seems to hit close to the bone. A commenter wrote on YouTube, “Oh God, this is tear inducing. I know it says “parody”, but this is waaaaay too close to home to even laugh. The next generation after us isn’t going to understand why we get that haunted look when we watch things like this. Really good job everyone! So many chilling moments in this film. Really well done.“
