It was only 2019 when Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) sat over Lola Rosales’ (Sasha Calle)bed and cried real tears when he thought his comatose girlfriend was going to die. She needed a liver and he was determined to get one for her. When Summer Newman (then played by Hunter King) was a match, Kyle promised to marry Summer if she just donated part of her liver to Lola and saved her life.

Lola was saved, Kyle reluctantly married Summer, but he couldn’t stay away from Lola and they slept together for the first time, taking Lola’s virginity while Kyle was still married to Summer. Kyle then dumped Summer and married Lola in a big, blowout wedding fitting for a soap opera. But that marriage didn’t last either cause it turned out Lola didn’t like being married to a rich man (WHY????) and Kyle realized he really was in love with Summer after all.

Y&R Spoilers – Lola Rosales Needs To Make A Comeback

Now, Kyle and Summer are married, Summer is now played by Allison Lanier, and Kyle and Summer are back in Genoa City to stay, acting happy as can be. That means they need a spoiler, so why not Lola?

Yes, actress Sasha Calle is onto big things as she becomes the DC Cinematic Universe as Supergirl. That means she is going to be a big Hollywood name and likely won’t want to return to a soap, but that doesn’t mean the part can’t be recast. If Summer could be recast after King played her for a decade, a character like Lola who was only around for a few short years can. She belongs in Genoa City right now and if she returned, Kyle couldn’t help but be drawn to her.

Perhaps the claws will then come out on Summer to prove she is Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) daughter after all. The couple needs this shake-up and an ex returning to the GC scene would certainly do it, which is why we need a Lola Rosales comeback.
