The Young and the Restless Comings And Goings: Alyvia Alyn Lind Is Back – Faith Newman Gets New Storyline?

Alyvia Alyn Lind is set to reprise her role as Faith Newman on “The Young and the Restless. The character was last seen on-screen back in July. Since leaving the show, the actress has kept herself busy with her new Netflix series called “Daybreak.” Lind, who plays the character, Angelica Green, is currently waiting for news if the TV series is getting a season 2.

Aside from Lind, there are other performers who are coming and going from “The Young and The Restless.” Eileen Davidson is returning as Ashley Abbott, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Traci Abbott’s (Beth Maitland) sister, on November 11. Meanwhile, Donny Boaz takes over the role of Phillip “Chance” Chancellor IV, the son of Nina (Tricia Cast) and Phillip Chancellor III (Thom Bierdz), which was last portrayed by John Driscoll.

Lind Talks About Daybreak

“Daybreak” is a Netflix show that is considered to be a mashup of various great shows like “Mad Max,” “Zombieland,” “Ferris Bueller,” and even “Stranger Things.”

In an interview with TVweb, Lind, who plays the unstable kid genius, Angelica Green, said that she and her family binge-watched the show the moment it was released. She also admitted that she’s a big fan of the show regardless of whether she knew everyone in it or not. Additionally, she said she can remove herself from the series to enjoy watching the show.

The young actress learned a lot by portraying her character. If the apocalypse does happen, she knows how to survive. She joked that she’s now keeping a flamethrower under her bed. Plus, if it’s the end of the world, she’ll want to be part of the perfect tribe.

Lind revealed that she’s never felt uncomfortable with any of her character’s dialogue. She knows she’s playing a character and when she says things when she’s on a scene, it makes her laugh because she knows she’ll never say them in real life.

She also made it clear that her character does things that she won’t do in real life. However, she also admitted that they both have some similarities.

“We are both figuring out who we are, dealing with typical teen issues. And we’re both loyal – You definitely want Angelica on your side,” she explained.
