Celeste Rosales (Eva LaRue) did her duties as the mother of the groom for the Shey wedding. Fans saw Mama Celeste on two video calls as she interacted with her fam including Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case).

Who else thought the nuptials were extremely touching in a surprising way? After all that the couple had been through in the previous year, it was a relief to see them happy and in love. Of course there’s no guarantee that they’ll stay that way, but their wedding was opulent, beautiful and very sweet.

Y&R Spoilers – The Week of January 4, 2021 Saw Departures

Unlike his mom, the character of Arturo Rosales (Jason Canela) appeared in person for Shey’s nuptials. The character has since returned home to Miami but not before making up one last time with Rey for stealing his other wife. Awkward.

Arturo also had time to bump into his spurned love Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) and she thanked him for being a jerk because it led her to true love with Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz). Major awkward.

The Young And The Restless spoilers: Someone Call 911 Stat!

Melissa Claire Egan’s (Chelsea Newman) real-life husband Matt Katrosar played Paramedic Egan for a hot second. He came into the penthouse after Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) called 911 to report that he found Chelsea collapsed on the floor. Of course, if he hadn’t been lurking at Sharon’s wedding he could have saved her a lot sooner. Fans saw Adam spying on the happy couple and for once he did the right thing by traipsing off to his own SO.

But was he in time? Now she’s got a burst aneurysm and lawd knows what happens next. He’ll probably summon Sharon from her honeymoon with Rey to provide emergency counseling which will put a damper on Shey’s NYE celebrations. So much for out with the old and in with the new!
