She posted a close pic of her impeccably manicured hand with the words: “Not easy taking a picture of your own hand. COVID be damned. Holiday done….Time for GLO to get her Groove again…First up Pretty Shiny Nails Time to take on Genoa City… Again…….” Woo-hoo Y&R fans, Glo is coming home!

In the photo Chapman’s nails are a marvelous shade of coral, all the better to ruffle Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) hair with! Fans were ecstatic with the news, with one responding, “Yay! We need you! Y&R needs you! Go get ’em! Beautiful hand and nails!,” and one fan saying, “Gramma Glo, get your groove back and return to GC pronto!” and another one writing, “We miss you in Genoa City you need to go back permanently.”
One fan wrote, “Jack needs you!!!! Get him away from Sally!!!!!!!” and one fan said, “I was just thinking the other day, damn Lauren is keeping Gloria way too busy as her assistant. Release the shackles, Lauren!”

What has Gloria been doing all this time? The better question is, what will she get up to when next we see her again?
There are so many avenues for the character, it’s bewildering why the show doesn’t use Chapman’s tremendous talent more often. First there is her limboed relationship with hunky Jack. Many, many Y&R fans do not ship him and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope). Conversely, Glo and Jack have already shown they have chemistry enough to start a bonfire.
And why hasn’t Gloria been lavishing attention on her new grandbaby? Son Kevin Fisher (Greg RIkkart) and DIL Chloe Fisher (Elizabeth Hendrickson) have a little one at home who surely needs some quality time with grandma.
One thing is certain, when Gloria reappears she will be her smashingly put together self, dressed to the nines and ready to take no prisoners!
