The Young and the Restless Comings & Goings: Stacy Haiduk Reprises Patty Williams Role

The Young and the Restless spoilers note that a familiar face is returning to the land of Genoa City. TV Insider is reporting that Days of Our Lives star Stacy Haiduk is scheduled to make a comeback on the CBS soap, as she reprises the infamous role of Patty Williams.

Patty Williams’ Legacy

The Young and the Restless fans last saw Paul Williams’ (Doug Davidson) unhinged sister in 2016. Haiduk first stepped into the role in 2009; however, the character first appeared on canvas in 1980, played by Tammy Taylor (briefly), then Lilibet Stern was recast in the role from 1980 to 1983, and Andrea Evans took over from 1983 to 1984.

When Patty returned in 2009, she assumed a new identity, thanks to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), paying for plastic surgery to be done.

Of course, throughout the character’s time in storylines, she’s been obsessed with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), so will she continue her fantasy of the two being together, upon her comeback? Patty and Diane Abbott (Susan Walters), Jack’s wife, have some interesting beef, so only time will tell.

Haiduk’s First Airdate

With that said, the Y&R is remaining hush-hush about Haiduk’s returning storyline, so no official airdate as of this writing.

Still, Executive Producer and Head Writer Josh Griffith did tell TV Insider that he, “… couldn’t be more excited to welcome back Stacy for this exciting storyline when trouble once again finds Patty.”

Haiduk is currently on Days of Our Lives, playing two roles: Kirsten DiMera and Susan Banks; interestingly enough, she took over the parts from fellow Y&Rer, Eileen Davison (Ashley Abbott).

She began working on the Peacock soap in 2018, and Haiduk has been with the show ever since.

In 2017, Haiduk snagged a Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress for her portrayal of Patty.
