The Young and the Restless Day Ahead Recaps Tuesday, November 6: Rey’s Shocking JT Discovery, Cane Plans To Leave Genoa City, Devon Furious

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) begins with Abby (Melissa Ordway) seeing Arturo (Jason Canela). He explains he found a watch at the job site but plans on turning it over to the GCPD. Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) is lost in thought when Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) reminds him the clock is ticking on his JT Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill) case; he wants to pick her brain on it, hoping they can help each other. Arturo pockets the watch, leaving with Abby, feeling no one would be at the GCPD anyways; the two lovebrds catch Jack (Peter Bergman) in the office.

Abby And Arturo’s Awkward Discovery

Meanwhile, at Dark Horse, a janitor wakes up Nick (Joshua Morrow) who is on the couch beside a naked Phyllis (Gina Tognoni). Back in Nick’s office he is trying to get Phyllis going, saying this isn’t a good time for his employees to see him like this and the trio from the elevator arrive at DH, Arturo and Abby head straight to Nick’s office where they continue to talk about the watch. He drops it and Phyllis casually hands it back to him; Arturo more interested in knowing Nick isn’t in the office and Phyllis wasn’t fully dressed when leaving.

Cane (Daniel Goddard) returns from a run, and now forced to reveal what he’s been planning, to move his family to a place closer to the prison their mother, Lily (Christel Khalil) has been moved to. Jack catches Arturo, who seems a bit off when it comes to Nick, he knows he isn’t himself and Jack investigates; finding Phyllis’ Jabot card on Nick’s office card.

At Jabot, Kyle (Michael Mealor) has some ideas she might like and she suggests he get Ted (Sean Muramatsu) will put him in the schedule. Once inside her office, Phyllis catches her breath and revs herself up to “do this job!’

Cane’s Shocking Decision

Cane sits with Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry) and Mattie (Lexie Stevenson), explaining how the homes are all rentals, so when their moms sentence is finished they can all move back to Genoa City. He reviewed it all, and their credits can be transferred to the news school. They know they can do this, but once Cane walks out of the room, neither one of the twins really feel like they have any other option.

Christine wants Rey to focus on the case at hand, again saying the clock is ticking. Phyllis, another woman who is trying to run an empire is having problems rallying the troops and tells them they better call Billy (Jason Thompson) to get his butt into work!

Jack and Nick’s Meeting

When Jack and Nick finish their Dark Horse meeting, Nick appreciates Jack sticking around and feels that Jabot has been left in capable hands. Jack pulls out Phyllis’ card, saying he found it on Nick sofa, under the blanket and he should return it. Jack is a bit surprised that he would go to Phyllis after the last time they talked, Nick was determined to win Sharon back; but Jack knows this is none of his business and prefers to talk only business.

Phyllis stops her vigorous typing and calls Victoria (Amelia Heinle), to see if she’s heard from any of the others since Halloween and what should be their next step since then.

Abby finds Arturo at Crimson, still staring at the watch, when Rey walks into the coffee house. Abby calls him to join the couple. Meanwhile, at the GCAC, Devon (Bryton James) joins Jack at the bar, revealing he knows what went down at Jabot. They just begin to talk and Devon gets a message about something troubling Charlie. Devon wants to know how Phyllis is doing running Jabot – Jack says she is running it, “No Holds Bar.” Nick returns Phyllis work tag, revealing Jack is the one who found it. She claims not to be embarrassed and has zero regrets; Nick agrees about everyone moving on and will see her soon.

Devon Gets Upsetting News

Devon goes to see Mattie and Charlie, who say they can no longer work for him because they are moving to be closer to Lily. Devon is furious about all their senior events and doesn’t feel they should sacrifice everything for Lily; its not something their mom would want. He wants them to answer if they feel they would be letting their parents down if they didn’t do along with this. Both the twins feel switching schools is nothing compared to what Lily is doing, but Devon doesn’t want them to sacrifice their senior year. He wants them to be honest with their dad when he arrives.

Kyle comes to Phyllis’ office, bringing her coffee, admitting that working for a CEO who isn’t family will take some time getting used to but he will. He just wants an equal chance to prove himself. She needs people around her that can trust and Summer (Hunter King) has proven that by being her daughter. Billy was a competent CEO but let his demons get the best of him. Phyllis has 2 pieces of advice for Kyle if he wants to succeed there, 1. separate himself from Billy, and 2. never cross Phyllis.

Arturo Shows Rey JT’s Watch

At the coffee shop, Rey and Arturo argue about the watch, as Rey reveals a story of them when they were kids and Arturo stole a bike to the pharmacy for their sick mom. Abby walks away to take a call, asking them to play nice. Rey snatches the watch and reads the inscription, “LOVE MAC”.

Devon informs Cane that the twins told him what is doing on, and there are a few things Cane needs to consider; he asks the twins to let him talk to his brother-in-law first. He simply wants Cane to realize there are five people to consider here and not just one. Cane wants to do what is best for Lily and Devon questions on how Lily is going to respond. He understands the grand selfless gesture. Cane breaks down, admitting he is just lost without her. Devon tells Cane to ask himself what Lily would do if the roles were reversed. Cane calls the kids back down, saying they are not going anywhere

At Jabot, Phyllis comes out of her office and finds Jack and Kyle talking. She dismisses Kyle, asking Jack to talk privately in her office. She tells him there is no problem if he is there reflecting but if he resents her being in the office; they have a problem!

Rey Rushes Watch To Police Station

Rey wraps up the watch and tells Arturo they need to get it down to the station immediately, as its an important piece of evidence. Abby returns and Arturo tells her that he can’t get along with his brother since he hasn’t changed one bit since they were kids. Abby tries to ease the situation, saying now he has time for lunch with her. He doesn’t have to go to GCPD and now has a full hour he can kill with her.

Jack doesn’t resent her. He does wish her well. He wants Jabot to succeed as much as when his dad worked there and when he ran it. Phyllis tells him that Nick brought the ID badge back and can have her own life to live. She wants to know where Jack gets off thinking any of her personal life is any of his business.

Rey is at the police station with the watch, he opens JT’s file and is able to locate a photo of him and Mac (Kelly Kruger) and it’s the exact match!
