Sharon just told Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) that she has a pretty full life with her business venture and family obligations. So, maybe the dream will remind Sharon that she needs more in her life.

Perhaps Sharon will realize through the dream that she has deeper feelings for Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) than she realized.

In any case, this shocking decision might make Chance and Summer’s dynamic a bit more complicated.
