Right now, Mariah Copeland (Camyrn Grimes) has kidnapped Dominic Winters-Chancellor (Ethan Park Ray), and the two are on the road, headed to anyone’s guess. Does this arc end with Dominic’s demise?
A Car Crash Changes The Game
Even in Mariah’s mental health meltdown, it’s hard to think that she would do something to harm Dominic. With that said, mistakes and accidents can happen.
Mariah is on a road trip with Dom, and it’s the wintertime, so who’s to say the two don’t hit a snowy winter storm along their journey?
Could Mariah get into a car crash? Whether it’s due to a storm or possibly Mariah getting distracted from an Ian Ward (Ray Wise) hallucination, it’s hard not to think that Mariah and Dominic could end up getting into a collision, with the worst possible result.
No fan is expecting Dom’s passing at this point, so if anything happens to the little boy, it would be shocking, for sure. Plus, it wouldn’t be the first time a child passed away within storylines to catch fans off guard.

After all, Cassie Newman (Camryn Grimes), Mariah’s twin, passed away in 2005 after a vehicle accident, and viewers were stunned; Delia Abbott (Sophie Pollono) died in 2013 when she was hit by Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) car, and audiences were completely taken aback by the development.
The Downfall Of Dabby?
While it would be devastating on so many levels, Dom’s passing would create a ton of drama. It may also be the downfall of his parents’ marriage.
Abby Newman-Abbott-Winters (Melissa Ordway) and Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James) have had a picture-perfect relationship, and losing their son could create major cracks in their wedded bliss.
Not to mention what it would do to Mariah, knowing she’s at fault (even if she wasn’t exactly at fault) for Dominic’s death. Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) would also reel from the events, as she feels guilty enough about what Mariah’s going through.
