All seemed to be lost in regard to them creating a baby the minute they got back from their honeymoon–until he got a mysterious call ordering him to leave his new bride and tell no one where he was going or what he was up to.

Y&R Spoilers – Chance Chancellor Ditched His Bride For A Mystery Job

Poor Abby. She was heartbroken that Chance ditched her, then she got another one of her bright heiress ideas—rent a womb and catch some sperm!

Her friends were instantly accommodating, with Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) agreeing to loan Abby her womb and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) agreeing to donate his swimmers. Never mind that in the real world both would be frowned upon for this process as both are childless themselves. “Hey, it’s a soap we can play with viewer’s minds and they won’t mind,” one imagines the writers thinking. Not exactly—we are used to suspending disbelief but this tortuously contrived story is laugh-out-loud ludicrous on so many levels.
