CBS The Young and the Restless spoilers and updates divulge that viewer reaction to the flashback episodes currently in the rotation has been revelatory for showrunners at the CBS soaps. In particular, the character crossover episodes have been a hit with fans and our inside source at CBS is now saying that show honchos are interested in repeating the success going forward.

When the sister shows have had crossover plots in the past, with characters from L.A. and Genoa City traveling to the other show, they’ve been popular it’s easy to do since both tapes at CBS’s Television City.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Jack Abbott Didn’t Know What To Do When Brooke Logan Flashed Him

Flashbacks from the crossover episode showed Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) visiting Forrester Creations for business and the result was sizzling hot. While there Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) flashed Jack with some of her Bedroom Collection lingerie and Jack nearly fainted.

Of course, Eric Forrester (John McCook) and Ridge Forrester (Ronn Moss) were in the room so it was strictly legit!

Fans also saw Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) travel to L.A. to do business with Brooke. Once again, the chemistry was off the charts as she flirted up a storm with the business titan.

It was all to make Ridge jealous, and she succeeded. For his part, Victor was thrilled to be in on the charade and he made it a point to do what he could to get Ridge’s blood boiling.

The crossover formula for new episodes is a no-brainer. Many fans watch both CBS soaps, and even if they don’t a crossover appearance has the potential to snag new fans to one or the other sudser.

One possible idea is to have Dollar Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) crossover to Genoa City where he tangles with Victor in a bid to buy an acquisition they are both interested in.

Bill is ruthless when it comes to business but so is Victor. Having these two alpha males go at it would definitely provide the heightened dramatic value the show needs to surge in the ratings.
