The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that our inside CBS inside source has intel on Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard) and it doesn’t look good for the Genoa City, Wisconsin serial cheater. Fans haven’t seen the cad dad in Genoa City in a while because he’s living offscreen after having ruined his marriage to Lily Winters (Christel Khalil). If our source is correct, viewers will never again see Cane, period.
According to our source, Y&R’s co-executive producer/head writer Josh Griffith could have major plans for Cane Ashby.

Our source has heard that Griffith is floating a story of killing off Cane, but it would happen offscreen. Why would they do such a thing? As Cane (Daniel Goddard) is no longer in Genoa City he hasn’t had any involvement in a plot so while it may be rude to say that the character is not needed, he obviously isn’t driving any story.
Cane is attached to Lily (Christel Khalil) through their kids and to his mom Jill Abbott (Jess Walton). But Jill is seldom seen either. Maybe his usefulness has come to an end?

Right now Lily and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) are embarking on a grand romantic adventure. She actually got his bacon out of jail in time for Christmas and for that he was most grateful.
But even before then they were sparking both romantically and as employees at ChanceComm. Now it looks like the real complication to their relationship could be Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) not jail or Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).

Victoria is getting that possessive gleam in her eye every time she sees Billy and Lily together. And she’s not above playing the kid card to get her hands on Billy as fans saw when he was sprung from the big house.

Victoria is definitely a thorn in LilBilly’s side, but would Cane’s death further alter their trajectory? If Cane were to die as our CBS sources suggests, Lily would be distracted by that plus tending to her kids’ emotions. It would give Victoria more than enough room to swoop in and reclaim her man from Lily. At the same time Billy loves helping a vixen in trouble so he too would be distracted if he got caught up in Victoria’s mess with Phyllis Newman (Michelle Stafford).
