Anything Is Possible
The Young and the Restless spoilers remind fans that Mariah hasn’t been mentally well for a very long time. Abby and Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James) became aware of her mental health situation after they realized Mariah may be Dominic’s kidnapper.
Knowing that, forgiveness might be easy in this case, simply due to compassion. When asked whether or not Abby can forgive Mariah, Ordway told SOD, “Anything is possible in Genoa City. I’m not going to say no, because it’s definitely possible.”
Still, as a mom to two young girls, Ordway noted, “It would be really hard for me to forgive someone who took my kid.
And the things that [Mariah said] to him (Dom) …. I think what’s actually more upsetting to Abby than even her taking him is the intention behind it, of running away forever and being his new mom.”

She went on to say, “… even though I’m sure Abby will someday be able to forgive her.” Ordway also made it clear that forgiveness would be possible if Mariah got the help she needed.
Blast From The Past
The kidnapping arc rehashed the 2021 surrogacy storyline where Mariah carried Dominic for Abby and then-husband, Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd). Devon was the sperm donor, which almost triggered a romance between him and Abby, who were at the time “just friends”.
With that said, if fans recall, Mariah had a very hard time leaving Dominic behind at the Chancellor mansion after she gave birth. She became scarily attached to the baby, but eventually moved on.
With that said, if beef remained between Abby and Mariah over this Dominic kidnapping, it wouldn’t be anything new to the characters. As Ordway reminds SOD, Mariah and Abby didn’t really like each other when Mariah first came to town in 2014.

They had a rivalry and fought over Tyler Michaelson (Redaric Williams), who Abby was dating and was Mariah’s fiancé. Was Dom’s storyline a way to usher in a new feud between Mariah and Abby? Only time will tell.
