The Young And The Restless News – Eric Braeden Lashes Out At Fan Making Victor Newman Masks
Sharing his frustrations on Twitter, the longtime daytime television actor wrote, “Someone called Red Bubble is knocking off my image! They had better cease doing that right now! I’ll come after you… and you don’t want that!!”
As many fans probably already know, Red Bubble is a global online marketplace for print-on-demand products that features the work of thousands of independent artists. It definitely didn’t take very long for Eric’s fans and followers to comment on the post, with quite a few of them defending the artist who is making the masks, who also just happens to be a huge The Young and the Restless fan.
Some comments included, “Sir if it’s who I assume you are talking about, she is a mega-fan, a wonderful and funny person. She likes to have fun with the show and it’s really nothing more than that. She would never intend to be disrespectful to any actors so I have to say the threat isn’t warranted here.”
Another fan said, “With all due respect, you retweeted a Tweet about this mask back on July 20th. I’m confused about where all this is coming from. She’s a good person who probably thought she had your blessing.”

With that said, Eric replied to his critics with, “Nine of you to be conciliatory, but this is obviously a knock off to be used for a pecuniary purpose.”
Now, whether or not Eric Braeden will in fact “go after” the fan making the masks on Red Bubble remains to be seen. For now, don’t forget that The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on the CBS network. Check your local listings for times.

Red Bubble is being disrespectful of Eric Braeden- apparently no one asked him if it was ok to use his likeness! Red Bubble is Wrong Wrong Wrong and should Apologize to Eric Braeden.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I also thought that you needed to have a person's permission to do such a thing. Otherwise, the articles are called knockoffs because they're not really his products.
Ok, so the fan should have respectfully sought permission but sometimes people don't think, especially when they adore their idols. Fans can get carried away, personally I would like Eric Breaden to take a gentler and intelligent approach, perhaps thanking the fan for their appreciation of his acting and his character but then asking to please not take this course because he is not comfortable with it. I don't think being pugnacious to a fan for what might be an innocent and misguided action shows any actor in a favourable light. Have some humility and kindness for your fans EB. Perhaps this fan will now realize Peter Bergman is the more professional and classier actor.
