Sasha Calle will debut as Supergirl in Ezra Miller’s solo The Flash movie with Andy Muschietti on board to direct the DC event film.

In 2020 DC made headlines when it was announced that Michael Keaton was returning to play Batman in The Flash. His get is a huge coup for the franchise and his return reveals that the movie is exploring the possibilities of the multiverse but will remain connected to the main DCEU timeline.

Ben Affleck will also play Batman again in The Flash. There were rumors of Aquaman or Wonder Woman appearing, too.

Y&R Spoilers – The latest DC Superhero To Join The Flash Is Supergirl

Andy Muschietti announced in an Instagram post that Supergirl is appearing in The Flash and will make her DCEU debut in the movie. Calle is best known for her role in The Young and the Restless and she has been cast as Supergirl.

Muschietti’s Insta video show him telling Calle that she’s been chosen for the role and her reaction is super emotional. Fans will no doubt be wondering about her status on Y&R .

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – What Happens Next In Genoa City?

Calle plays Lola Rosales on the Genoa City, Wisconsin based CBS soap. She is part of the extended Rosales clan who once enjoyed a heyday on the soap. Now just Lola and her brother Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) remain after a controversial introduction.

For the most part Lola is an after thought these days, playing the supportive friend with a strong shoulder to cry on when her friends or brother need her. The character is a chef and at one time was married to core character Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) but that was for a hot minute before he went back to his ex Summer Newman (Hunter King).

It appeared that Lola was leaving Genoa City when she went to set up a new restaurant in Miami a while back, but her return sparked rumors that she would be getting a bigger story. So far that has not transpired.
