The Young and The Restless News Update: Y&R Alum Victoria Rowell Has A Special Holiday Message For Her Fans

CBS The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Los Angeles actress Victoria Rowell (Drucilla Winters) has a special holiday message for her fans. Over the years she has shared her story about growing up in the foster care system and she has been a vocal advocate for youth who are in similar situations.

Rowell debuted on Y&R in 1990. Prior to that, she played Nella Franklin on the CBS daytime drama As the World Turns.

Victoria Rowell recently tweeted, “To my foster youth/alum community who know all too well the dread of holidays & nowhere to go after emancipation. Many of us prefer to be alone. Be kind to yourself. If dinner isn’t available w/1 other people, take a walk, meditate & give thanks 4life, breath & look beyond a day.”

Later she tweeted about how individuals can spend the holidays in 2020, a year like no other. “#HappyThanksgiving from #auntievicki …keep it simple this year — this holiday season will be like no other,” the Daytime Emmy-nominated star says. “If alone, give thanks for life, for breath. Do something kind for yourself or do something good for someone else. #MotherNature we give thanks.”

Y&R Spoilers – Drucilla Winters Was A Force Of Nature In Genoa City

Dru came to Genoa City after feeling neglected by her mother who doted on her older sister, Olivia Hastings (Tonya Lee Williams). Over time the two sisters reconciled although their relationship was shaky in the beginning.

She came to town to seek out her aunt Mamie Johnson (Veronica Redd) and eventually got a job working at Jabot Cosmetics. In a sensational twist of fate, Dru met Neil Winters (the late Kristoff St. John) and the two embarked on a fairytale romance that was full of ups and downs.

After Dru and Neil married they had a daughter, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil). Eventually, the truth came out that it was actually Neil’s half-brother Malcolm Winters (Shemar Moore) who was Lily’s biological dad.

Dru died after a struggle with her enemy Phyllis Newman (Michelle Stafford). She fell over a cliff and is presumed dead even though her body has never been found. Two years ago Rowell appeared on the show during a tribute episode to the late St. John.
