The Young and the Restless (Y&R) news states that alum Chris McKenna’s family was in a horrific car crash, but they will all make a full recovery. The Y&R viewers will remember McKenna as Det. Mark Harding, Paul Williams’ (Doug Davidson) trusted top detective.

Now, Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) is Genoa City’s trusted detective and man of law. At one time, Harding was the man and the soap fans absolutely loved him.

Harding left the show several years ago after being revealed as a killer and bad cop. After his stint on Y&R, he played Katie Logan’s (Heather Tom) trusted doctor on Bold and the Beautiful. Young & The Restless Spoilers – Chris McKenna Reveals Family Was In An Accident

On Saturday, November 30, McKenna revealed that his family was involved in a terrible car accident. He posted to Instagram,” “For those concerned, my brother and sister in law are in pain but gonna be ok, the baby is fine, my mom suffered many injuries that will require multiple surgeries and a long rehab. I’ll be going home to take care of her. Please keep her in your thoughts. #HoldThemClose.”

It’s clear the actor is worried about his family. He indicated that he will be there to help his mother recover and he will take time off from work to be at her bedside.

Family is very important to Chris. He has posted many tributes to how much he loves his family and loved ones. So, this isn’t a huge surprise to his followers that he would pause his life to help his mother get back on her feet.
