Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) first became aware of something nefarious on ‘The Young and the Restless’ last year in mid-June. That’s when the recast from Gina Tognoni (Phyllis) to Stafford occurred, with the original edition of this character being seen in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) were seen together by Phyllis. The viewers weren’t shown what she saw, with Phyllis then serving as the fan’s guide from that point until February of 2020.

Wow, Adam saved Chance’s life! Plus, Chance knew that ‘Spider’ was actually Adam, but opted not to turn him in at the time due to what happened.

So any questions about whether Adam was somehow faking his amnesia, which seemed highly unlikely, and Chance’s seeming inability to recognize Adam, which in fact he did, have been resolved.

The matter of the mystery woman and her troubled husband moved center stage with those plot points being crossed off. Phyllis’ gain of this intel stands to be significantly leveraged as well.

Y&R Spoilers – Mystery Woman Likely No Threat To Chadam

Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) recently overheard Adam talking about a woman on the phone. She didn’t question him about it at that time but did when he said he had to take an unexpected trip. That followed their return from Paris, France, which was intended as a test to see if Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) liked living abroad. He didn’t.

Adam didn’t deny his earlier conversation or being connected to a mystery woman. He told Chelsea that he would explain everything when the time was right.

The later reveal that Phyllis heard couples with Adam’s conversation with Chelsea. So, ‘Chadam’ fans likely have nothing to fear, as the trouble, Adam flew to Vegas to handle wasn’t based on a past romance.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Phyllis Summers Wants Revenge Against Victor Newman

Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) committed the most heinous act when he swapped out Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) for his doppelganger, Marco Annicelli (Bergman in a masterful dual role). That resulted in Phyllis (as then played by Tognoni) believing Marco was her husband through the course of many months.

Phyllis rightly holds Victor fully responsible for the horror she’s lived with as a result of the scheme. The character Stafford is again playing wanted Adam to help her exact revenge against his father since first trying to form a friendship with him when returned to Genoa City, Wisconsin, last year.

Now, with knowledge of what happened in Vegas, Phyllis holds leverage and with that will certainly try to parlay it into Adam’s forced compliance. How she tries to manipulate Chance is another issue to consider.
