Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) seemed serious on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Fans saw him talking to himself and also grieving while he was alone at the penthouse. That wasn’t faked for anyone’s benefit.
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) believes that he saw change in his son’s eyes when they spoke at the chess board at the Ranch. He hopes Adam has gone to live a better life. And that’s part of the rub.
No one in Genoa City, Wisconsin, and no one within the daytime audience actually can predict what Adam will do next. Daytime truth be told, Grossman’s solidly portrayed alter ego likely doesn’t know what comes next either and that’s why he’s dangerous.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Spider Bites Back
Adam did tell his father the truth. He was sorry for many things that happened. Before that he told Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) that he was “messed up” and wouldn’t be a good influence on him. So, he was leaving town and wouldn’t be back.
Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) didn’t have to work that hard to convince Adam that he should return to GC. But as soon as his memory was restored via Chloe Mitchell’s (Elizabeth Hendrickson) missed shot at the tack house, Adam felt as though he was doomed to repeat history. That’s exactly what happened, proving him right in what felt like a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Re-assuming the ‘Spider’ identity at least implies that Adam doesn’t want to be himself right now. But Chance Chancellor (as last played by John Driscoll) is last known to be in Las Vegas, Nevada, where Adam has returned to. That matters.

It’s mostly a guess for now. But piecing together the dialogue tidbits that have been given, it seems as though Adam connected with Chance at some point within the last three years.

Being down on his luck (pun intended, due to the city they’re supposedly both in), Chance needs money. Possibly he owes the wrong type of people, or some other type of debt must be paid. With whatever the case, Chance appears to be the front man in a mega ruse.
The Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) will contest is just opening now. So, Cane Ashby’s (Daniel Goddard) trip to Vegas should provide more plot points.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Give The Man A Break
As fans noticed, Grossman has been a major focus of the show since he debuted in the spring. He’s digested and delivered a tremendous volume of dialogue, across many scenes, with multiple acting partners. Kudos to this strong actor all around.
Considering that the Adam character is being given a bit of a rest, to also allow Grossman to do the same, Y&R fans should expect him back shortly.
Victor’s faked death did impact Adam. How that alters his view of the world, if at all, is debatable.

My vote was not an option. I think he will return to GC to work with Victor at Newman Enterprise. He knows Victoria n Nick hate him n will never accept him so he not gonna attempt to make peace. Chelsea will leave GC with Connor just minutes before Adam returns. Nick eventually will come around to building some strange kind of relationship with Adam, they will never be best of brothers but will be better. Victoria will NEVER accept him after losing her job to him cuz Victor will give COO to Adam.
I think I would be a good writer for Y&R
