The Young and the Restless Preview: Devon’s Marriage Proposal, Nikki Insulted By Victor’s Offer

The Young and the Restless spoilers for the week of July 22, 2024 reveal that a new video preview clip has been released. It has fewer scenes than what we’ve been seeing lately. In any case, expect Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James) to propose marriage.

Meanwhile, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) seems insulted by Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) “gift.” Keep reading to find out what is coming up in the CBS soap opera.

Devon Hamilton-Winters Marriage Proposal

Y&R spoilers for the week of July 22 reveal that the preview clip begins with Devon. Even though Devon and Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) have been together a while now, they haven’t discussed marriage. At least, not on-screen. 

In the preview clip, Devon and Abby are sitting on a park bench. Perhaps they are watching Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (River and Rainn Ware) play. Abby rests her head on Devon’s shoulder and smiles as she looks ahead.

Devon surprises Abby by suddenly blurting out, “Marry me.” Abby is frozen for a few moments as she processes whether she really heard Devon’s question. Abby lifts her head a bit and smiles before turning to look at Devon.

It looks like she is going to say yes, but every soap wedding has complications. So, what will threaten Devon and Abby’s future?

Victor Newman’s Business Offer

The Young and the Restless spoilers for the week of July 22 reveal that the video preview also shows Victor. In the clip, Victor sits at his desk.

In the office, Nikki sits down at a chair facing Victor. Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is there as well, but he’s standing.

Victor tells Nikki that he is in the process of acquiring a company that is almost as big as Newman. Adam chimes in, “I’m surprised you even are aware that a company like that exists.”

Victor ignores the sarcasm and adds that the company now belongs to Nikki. However, Nikki doesn’t look very pleased. Nikki wants Newman Media, not another company. 

Now, it’s not clear if Victor is talking about Glissade or another company. Maybe this has something to do with the Chancellor-Winters unmerger. At one time, Victor had his hands in that company as well.

Nikki has the most sourpuss face I’ve ever seen in my life at the end of that preview clip. Nikki is going to fight back against Victor.

When Nikki learns that Victor’s decisions are all stemming from a multi-faceted attack against Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), she could take a stand. And that stand might not be with Victor, so stay tuned!
