Y&R spoilers for the week of January 8 reveal that in the preview clip, Nikki gives into temptation. Nikki stumbles, and we mean that both literally and figuratively. First of all, Nikki gives into her addiction.
Nikki doesn’t just have a tiny sip of wine. Nikki is fully blasted drunk, as in sloppy, slurry drunk. When Nikki faces Lauren, she rambles about not being able to go home to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).

During the week of January 8, Lauren will see the drunken desperation on Nikki’s face. As Lauren stops Nikki from falling to the floor, she reluctantly agrees to help her. Lauren tells Nikki that she has an idea.
