The Young And The Restless Rumors: Is Ben Rayburn Ashland Locke’s Doctor?

The Young And The Restless: Ben “Stitch” Rayburn (Sean Carrigan)The Young and The Restless (Y&R) spoilers and rumors tease that the timing of the arrival of Ben “Stitch” Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) and Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) staying in Genoa City indefinitely seem to not be so coincidental. Viewers of The Young and The Restless will recall Locke has cancer and Stitch is staying in Genoa City a lot longer than he claimed to be. Could Stitch actually be Ashland Locke’s doctor?

The Young And The Restless Spoilers And Rumors – Ben Rayburn May Have Studied Oncology Because Of His Son’s Brain Tumor

Viewers of The Young and The Restless will remember that Stitch has a son with a brain tumor, an inoperable one, named Max Rayburn (Jared Breeze). Recently, when catching up with Abby Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) upon arriving in Genoa City, he told her that Max doesn’t even know him now and is becoming progressively worse.

It is not difficult to imagine that with that kind of a situation, Stitch, who is already a surgeon, may have studied up on oncology. Viewers of The Young and The Restless will have also noticed that even though Stitch had said he was in town attending the retirement party of a mentor at the hospital that he has stayed in town beyond when he claimed he was going back to Iowa City!

He ran into Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) in Chancellor Park in a recent episode and explained he was “on his way home” but had hung around to catch up with some friends he hadn’t previously before he left. The timing seems just a bit suspect considering Locke won’t return to New York City where he says his doctor is and Stitch doesn’t seem to be returning to Iowa City either. It is possible that Max, who is likely not expected to survive may be back in Iowa City in a facility but Stitch may have actually come from New York City, not Iowa City – and actually, his son might be in New York City too.

It’s even possible that Max has passed away and Stitch isn’t being forthcoming about the fact. It’s a little strange that he’s looking in the windows of the Chancellor mansion and especially that he’s focusing in on Mariah, who is carrying Abby’s baby! That could indicate that his son has died, and there is no reason to go back. It could also indicate his most important patient is in Genoa City too, so he’s hanging around.

Y&R Spoilers And Rumors – Ashland Locke Does Not Want To Return To New York City For Any Treatment

Viewers of The Young and The Restless will recall from recent episodes that Locke does not want to return to New York City for any treatment, even though in a recent episode of The Young and The Restless he experienced breathing problems. Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) had strongly encouraged him to do so, and to fight for his life, but Locke refused. If indeed Stitch is his doctor, then he would need somewhere to treat his patient and he does not currently have practicing privileges at the hospital in Genoa City.

However, there is probably an opening – good doctors are always in demand! But it may take a little while to get things in order – Stitch would need to make sure his medical licensing is up to date for Wisconsin, for one, and if he hasn’t re-established residence that could get sticky. He would also need to transfer Ashland’s patient files from New York – if he is indeed his oncologist. Ashland might be waiting for Stitch to get settled back in Genoa City and get his licence up to date. It certainly does seem to make sense!
