The Young and the Restless Rumors: Mishael Morgan’s Comeback Happening? Recast As Amber Sinclair?

The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) world has already been rocked. Receipt of a mysterious legal letter informed him that Katherine Chancellor’s (Jeanne Cooper) will was being contested.

Considering that the DOOL Grande Dame passed away six years ago while she was traveling the globe with her husband, Patrick Murphy (Michael Fairman), the notification is rather odd. It was sent by an attorney, Amber Sinclair (a role where casting hasn’t yet been clarified).

Considering earlier buzz this summer about Mishael Morgan (who previously played Devon’s wife, Hilary Hamilton), is it possible that she has been cast as Amber?

Hilary was and remains the love of Devon’s life. While he’s found peace and a new soul mate in Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy), the idea of a Hilary look-a-like, or one of her unknown family member’s existing in this form, would surely be mind-altering.

Hevon was one of Y&R’s most charismatic couples. But Morgan opted to leave last year as she and her husband were expanding their family.

Yet, killing off Hilary never prevented the potential of Morgan rejoining the cast. If she and TPTB were (are) open to revisiting a working relationship, then an entirely new arc opens for Devon and the fans.

Y&R Spoilers – Chancellor History Linked To Modern Times

Circumstantial evidence indicates that Chance Chancellor (as last played by John Driscoll) is Amber’s client. Jill Fenmore (Jess Walton) believes that it’s possible her grandson is fueling this effort.

Chance is the child of Nina Webster (Tricia Cast) and Phillip Chancellor III (Thom Bierdz). His nickname covers his full moniker, being Phillip Chancellor IV.

Devoted Y&R fans know that Phillip Chancellor II (Donnelly Rhodes) was married to Katherine in the 1970’s, when he became involved with her protege, Jill. Their romantic connection and the subsequent birth of Phillip III became the source of iconic, enduring contention between Katherine and Jill.

Phillip III’s death enabled Katherine to become the head of Chancellor Industries, which she developed into a powerful conglomerate. Upon Katherine’s death, Jill and Esther Valentine (Kate Linder), Katherine’s maid and confidant, inherited the Chancellor mansion.

Chancellor Industries was willed to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), with Jill later acquiring it from him.

The bulk of The Young and The Restless Katherine’s estate, totaling two billion dollars, was willed to her grandson, Devon, whose father, Tucker McCall (Stephen Nichols), was one of Katherine’s two children, with the other being Brock Reynolds (Beau Kazer).

Young & The Restless Spoilers – Adam Newman Intertwined In Storyline

Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) was at the penthouse when Jill arrived. Devon asked Nick to stay when he began telling Jill about the letter Amber sent to him regarding supposed discrepancies in Katherine’s will.

Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) was mentioned as being tied to Chance, with them apparently connecting in Las Vegas, Nevada. Interestingly, Chance told Jill that he may have a lucrative opportunity.

Chance is believed to have gone astray since leaving Genoa City, Wisconsin, in the early part of this decade, which was before Katherine died. So, if he’s tied to Adam, their dealings likely aren’t positive. Plus, Adam has vowed to attack the Newman family using a method that they’d never see coming.

Might Morgan’s rumored return be in the form of Amber, with this new character representing Chance and by default, Adam? Viewers will soon begin to learn the answer to that intriguing question.
