Y&R fans recently learned that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) was involved with Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) when he and Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) were in New York. Devoted soap opera viewers know that part of Kyle’s backstory represents a skillful invention of the writing staff and is providing current drama.

It appears as though Kyle’s past actions produced unknown results. Tara never contacted Kyle after she became pregnant. But she has volunteered that her son is his child more than three years after he was born due to Kyle’s recent awareness of the event and his resulting request for an answer.

Y&R Spoilers – Summer Newman’s Loyalty Is Crucial

While he didn’t do so initially, Kyle’s tell to Summer about all things Tara was wise. Summer has his back and is dolling out information to Phyllis in bits and pieces.

It’s understandable that Kyle was embarrassed by his actions with Tara. He knew that their connection was wrong, which is partially why he never mentioned it to Summer or anyone else. It’s also true that Kyle didn’t want to worry the woman he loves with old stories that he didn’t initially know were going to prove impactful.

Summer’s loyalty is crucial now that Kyle believes his link to Tara isn’t past tense, but everlasting through Harrison Locke (no actor known to be cast for this role). Although the young man’s name might eventually become Harrison Abbott.

It would be best if Phyllis is fully informed about all things Kara, or Tyle if one prefers. Kyle’s situation is tenuous because of Ashland Locke’s (Richard Burgi) existence and reputation.

Summer can’t allow her mother to inadvertently increase tensions, which could happen if Phyllis mishandles the Sally angle of this storyline. Stafford’s iconic alter ego can be a vital force if Summer provides her with needed information, which would then be able to used in a strategic manner.
