But most of all soap fans are the big winners since they will not lose sight of Courtney Hope when she departs The Bold and the Beautiful as Sally Spectra. Instead, the lovely and talented actress is moving on to B&B’s sister soap, The Young and the Restless.
The actress shared her good news on Instagram, with a pic of herself in a Crimson Lights t-shirt and a huge grin, with the caption, “This seems like a good fit….”
Fans were over the moon upon learning that Hope would be staying in the daytime. Now the big question is, who will she portray when she transitions from one soap to the other?

#1 Will She Takes The Character Of Sally Spectra To Genoa City?
The most obvious choice would be for her to take her current character, Sally Spectra, to Wisconsin. There is precedent for this as Y&R and B&B characters have moved back and forth between both shows. It would be especially relevant for Sally to go to Genoa City as the fashionistas from both soaps have crossed over.
#2 Courtney Hope Could Portray A Caretaker For Dina Mergeron
Dina is playing prominently in the plot right now, even if we are not seeing her per se. Her family is taking care of her at home, and going to the ends of the earth to make her last days peaceful and content. At some point, they should hire someone to help with her care. We think that Hope’s new character could be a nurse hired by the Abbott’s, and ultimately catch Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) eye.
#3 A New Lawyer Is Needed In Genoa City

Right now Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) seems to be handling everyone’s legal business. She can’t do that for long without collapsing! Hope would make a great litigator and give her a chance to throw some competition Amanda’s way.
Amanda doesn’t seem like the type who handles professional threats well—it would be great to see some catfighting on Y&R again now that Sharon is buddy-buddy with her mom-in-law Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Phyllis Newman (Michelle Stafford)!

Please don’t pair her with Jack. He’s old enough to be her grandfather. I would hate to see her get that role. She was so great on B&B. To move her to Y&R for Jack would be sickening to say the least.
YES Courtney Hope back on the show,,this more classy one Y&R..i can see her been a very protective private nurse for Dina..strong personality to deal with Dina’s ways..but still gentle and kind…i also can see her been a lawyer too..savy smart lady
I would love to have her be her current B&B character Sally Spectra. There is plenty of room for her and fashion design, she could perhaps help Chelsea with her fashion company that she’s been trying to get back up and running but has been sidelined lately by Connor’s problems now Adam’s problems and she doesn’t have her sidekick Chloe at the moment as she is having a baby, so Sally seems like a perfect fit for this and besides that she would have the availability to go between soaps now and then ..I used to enjoy the crossovers with Brooke and Eric long time ago. I hope that is the character Courtney brings to GC!
we’ve seen Phyllis’s sister in the past ..she is an attorney and interacted with Nick and a few other GC men ..I hope they don’t do that !

You are right. He’s a little too old for Courtney. However, I’d like to see Jack with Lola’s mom. She’s good looking and flirty. I think they’d make a great couple.

I heard she was going to die during November sweeps. Have to wait and see I guess but yes she would be good as Avery (Sally’s Sister). 2 Redheads….look out Genoa City…lol
That would be good. She and Chelsea would be good together in business. Who knows. I guess we just have to wait and see. I’m glad she’s still going to be on a soap.
That’s what I was waiting for when she came to town. I thought she and Jack would make a cute couple but I guess not. I always liked her on All My Children – darn I miss that show. That was my favorite.
