And while the success of this marriage is very important for the Newman, Chancellor and even Abbott families, there’s a chance that what starts off well might not end well. With that said, we have three reasons why there’s a strong possibility Abby and Chance’s marriage might end in divorce.

#1 Abby Newman’s Track Record With Men

There is no denying that Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway)  is certainly a very beautiful, brave, well-spoken, and successful young woman. And while she certainly has her life in order, if there has been anything that has remained rather messy, it has been her love life. Simply put, her track record with men has not been very good and that’s why there are a lot of viewers that believe it will only be a matter before her marriage with Chance (Justin Gaston) will implode.

While Chance might be doing a great job of promising the world to his new bride Abby Newman right now, let’s not forget that the house of Chancellor was built on a foundation of lies and deceit. This is the same man that Chance had sex with Heather but was too afraid to tell Chloe about his affair. He was also a drug addict and someone who tried to swindle his way to the top. Sure, he might be someone who has managed to turn his wrongs into rights these days, but that shouldn’t stop Abby or the rest of the Newmans from keeping a good eye on him.

#3 In Genoa City, There’s Always An Ulterior Motive

When it comes to a town like Genoa City, let’s face it: there’s always someone hiding an ulterior motive, no matter who they are, what they are doing, or where they are going. If there’s anything that we know about Chance, is that he’s got two kinds of baggage: the good kind (the Chancellor fortune) and the bad kind (all of the drama from his past). Plus, no one really gets married for ‘love’ in this town, right? It’s more like a business deal or a transaction. Here’s hoping Abby will realize this before it’s too late.
