The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers suggest that while the Newmans are under the impression that Ian Ward (Ray Wise) is dead and gone, fans know otherwise.
During the Thursday, January 30 show, Ian was proclaimed dead by an EMT; however, fans saw the man gasp and awaken during his ambulance ride to the morgue.
Was this scene a way to open a door for a return, sometime down the road or Will Ian come back sooner than expected? Here are three reasons why fans should brace themselves for the villain to return during February Sweeps.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Reason #1 – Keep The Action Rolling Into February
Y&R spoilers remind fans that the last two weeks of January have felt more like a sweeps month with all the chaos that’s gone down in Genoa City.
The soap has certainly built a ton of momentum with drama recently, so why slow down? February is merely days away, and as everyone believes Ian is dead and gone, how over the top would it be for him to return a couple of weeks later to finish the job he started?
Could he set the new Newman Ranch on fire? Attack Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) since they have history together? Maybe kidnap Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott)? The opportunities for Ian to stir the pot are endless!
Y&R Spoilers – Reason # 2 – Daniel Romalotti’s Closure
During the Friday, January 31 episode, Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) found out that the charges were being dropped against Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and he wasn’t overly accepting of this.
Everything that Ian and Jordan (Colleen Zenk) did, including their roles behind Heather Stevens’ (Vail Bloom) demise and tampering with Sharon’s drugs, was explained to him, but it was still hard for him to process it all and most past the idea that Sharon was getting off, scot-free.
But, if Daniel witnessed Ian’s reign of terror (and eventual downfall), first-hand, would he think any differently?
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Reason # 3 – Ian Ward Hasn’t Scratched The Surface In GC
Ian has so much history with so many residents in Genoa City that he barely had contact with this past run.
While his focal point was Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes), he also has history with Summer Newman (Allison Lanier), as well as Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) – yet his interactions with past victims were very limited. Will he expand on this if he returns in February?
Do you think Ian will return right away, or come back at a later date? Share your thoughts, below! Don’t forget to tune into the Y&R on CBS daily to catch all the drama and check out this site regularly for the best Young and the Restless news, spoilers, and updates.

Oh please we had enough of Jordan and Ian! Don’t bring either one back ever. Let them be gone for good! Also, don’t let Claire go back to her dark side because of Jordan either.
Enough already! So sick of Jordan & Ian. Move to a different story line. Let them be gone for good. I have to say, too, that when Sharon was kidnapped & held in the sewer, her acting sucked! She was really a ham!
